Highland Park not great by any stretch, but I live in Midtown & it's very close. Riverside Park is the next closest, much longer/challenging, but tends to get flooded in the spring. I'd check the weather near that time to see how wet it's been. Highland gets muddy in the spring too.
cement tee pads are in, but still difficult to navigate with no signage. wear long pants & use insect repellent if you dare brave this rustic, unfinished course, hole 1 has sharp bladed, unmowed grass that will slice & dice your lower extremities! i could only make it through about half after...
upon further review, consensus is as long as you store them flat or on their side in a hot car it won't affect the discs, if they're bent or with stuff on top or something, the heat will make them bend that way

aceable poles, easy peasy - 15 minutes tops to play, scorecards 'n' pencils in da mailbox!
would not attempt to play if park is active, haz hazard!
first pole course i played in quite some time, throw it back!
