Typically it takes 2-3 weeks once I've hit a distance wall for me to start working on getting more. It's always a minor tweak gain another 10-20 feet then another tweak, so on and soforth. My biggest jump was when I switched my grip to a two finger to get the nose down more. My main issue is I...
First thing is practice practice practice those putts, like the earlier posts say if you know you can make that 20-25 foot comeback putt it makes the long putts easier. Second not all putts are the same, if there are just some trees or open ground behind the basket run the putt all day, but if...
If you went by what the guys around here say it's nothing. They state that aces only count if it's in a PDGA sanctioned event. Leagues or weekly tournaments and especially practice rounds don't count for them.
For the most part I only use my putter a sonic but on really windy days (20 mph or more) I step up to a mid just to cut through the wind better. Sonics tend to sail in the wind, have been working with the colt and dagger though as alternatives recently.
When I go for some field practice I always take a stack of the same disc in a similar amount of wear (bought them all at the same time and pretty much just rotate them through my bag monthly). It will depend on what you are working on but if going for distance/constancy I'd suggest getting a few...
This happens a lot too.
Do have a question though, what's considered an ace? Some guys say it only counts if it's during a pdga sanctioned tourney, not even local leagues count. Thoughts?
Keep throwing, I don't care if it gets signed but I've got a couple buddies I play with in the weeklies that insist it must be signed. Not sure which disc has the most aces, I swap out my bag often enough they've been spread around. If I had to guess I'd say it's either my champ glo teebird or...
Have honestly not found a stable to overstate mid I care for none of them feel like they relese clean, especially don't care for rocs though . More of a coyote/goblin fan for mid range then use a faster putter in the overstate upshot slot, A1 and Berg currently filling that slot.
One word COMMIT it's all about committing to the shot. Be relaxed while throwing but commit. Imagine yourself throwing it perfectly and then do it. Also don't try to do to much, know your limitations. lf you're 20 feet in the woods don't try to make a 300' shot and park the basket. Playing in...
Barry did have hip problems a few years back and had to alter his driving and putting form for a while. I'm sure that it just evolved into what you're seeing now. Just like any sport you adapt and overcome injury then try to correct whatever caused it so it won't happen again.
Skips are very consistent if you know the course and how the fairways are maintained. I use them a lot since I don't like throwing the big high hyzer I look for skip and roller angles if available first. The main thing is the angle you come in at has to be calculated for the disc correctly, with...
