Don’t hate it per se but I played with just a 166 leopard for weeks - purely so that I had to dial back on everything and only use good technique.
Sucked for putting though. Ha.
Thanks, I never really gave up, I just needed to step away from the forums and reviews (input) and put the pieces together that I already know (output).
Truth be told I never really properly “fixed” any of my form because I was too eager to move onto the next. Preaching to the choir here...
Hi it’s guy who’s thrown the disc every way but the right way here.
Just wanted to chime in and say I’ve had this exact grip issue up until last week. ….for 4 years. Been depressingly throwing yr 1 golf aka 275’ and wildly inconsistent since mid 2020 after several major aha moments faded from...
Ok watching the pitching drill vid. The way he talks about external rotation of the knee to stabilize it - that sounds a lot like Mike maves presetting the foot screwed into the ground.
Haha you picked out the worst possible bit of the whole vid it’s so hard to do it in x step with 0 momentum. Do any of the standstill ones look like the right idea?
I think I’m getting it now, or def close to getting something. I think my pre swings always felt good because I had that little bit of extra time to get braced up as I wasn’t trying to hurl the disc as hard. But when I threw I would rush and use the arm and go OTT.
It’s feeling different now...
“There are several ways to “get” this weight transfer ideal. Some like to think of shifting their center of gravity (belly button area) to the right and left and others imagine a lower spine shifting from right to left in a “wrecking ball” or “church bell” type of image. With both of these...
Thanks man! Yeah I think I was too careful of tipping/leaning past the rear leg when shifting, like you said once you need to realign your spine ready to catch on front side.
It feels like I can pretty much just walk / step whilst facing backwards and then once the weight shifts the upper body...
Hey guys, little update from me. Lots of learning recently! And a drill to help with swinging / moving laterally. I’ve been going about it all wrong. Don’t miss or forget the absolute basics, like hitting the disc / release point. I get crush the can now!

So yeah...
Even spicier take - it doesn’t matter what disc you throw to learn form, really. It’s the archer not the arrow.
But def will help your game overall learning different discs, and easier to throw understable/neutral plastic so you dont have to hammer on things right out the gate to get the...
