    that's good to know

    staying sharp...once a week.

maybe sacrifice one of your rounds for a field session of training drills, then head out on the course for some good old fashioned golf. OR, since it's winter time and the courses are less packed, take the opportunity to throw multiple shots off every tee... multiple approaches from certain...

What kind of wizard is this?

is there any raised lettering on the bottom? some of the best were the older ones, before any raised lettering was in the mold... the plastic was better than more recent wizards. wizards really are all over the place and in the end it's whether or not you think it feels good. if the plastic...

    Just found this of scoot_er

i pictured scoot_er looking a little like dave chappel for some reason. :? now i'm disillusioned.

    Shoulder turn and nose down

doing field work last weekend i found a humongous error in throwing with while my shoulders are not all the way open. for some reason, my trailing shoulder was coming over too high and i would end up in an awkward scrunched up shoulder position... creating nasty OAT. i haven't really figured...

Please help to to get more distance

yeah, that is what i was thinking but i think you put it into much more proper terms with some added clarity! i'm smelling what's cooking now. thanks.

Please help to to get more distance

bradley are you referring to pointing the elbow at the target during the pull? i just want to clarify for myself...

Have a look at my throws

one thing i notice specifically to the lower body power is your lack of push off the back foot. if you watch the second vid, your back foot actually slips for a split second at the point it should be pushing. it appears to me what you are doing is sort of falling onto your front foot instead...

AA Backhand Side-view - Please critique

i think the said thrower is actually a little weight forward during the cross step but at the hit is weight back. i second pretty much everything everyone's said. i think learning to pull from the right pec, like in the masterbeato vid would aid hugely in learning how to keep the disc in tight...

    Strong arming my throw...anything else?

one more thing; i would stick with baseline plastic for putters. it is what you want in terms of flight characteristics (slow turn, slow drop) and texture for hitting chains. pros use baseline plastic putters for putting... pretty much always. it's for a reason!

    Strong arming my throw...anything else?

i think if you pick a putter, go out and but 2... then learn it, you won't have issues with it feeling uncomfortable in your hand anymore. i started out with the birdie for about a year. and honestly i was putting just fine with it, but i figured out it wasn't the best putter out there so i...

    Strong arming my throw...anything else?

i don't think anyone's mentioned that your off arm is not tight to your body through the pull. check out any picture of a pro during the pull through and their off arm is tight to their body as they pull through. if it's away from your body it is dragging down your rotation speed. it also...

    Question about DX Stingray

i've thrown beat dx stingrays over 350' but it required about 40' of height. i'll bet there's a bunch of pros who could throw them 450'. i still wouldn't endorse it as a good disc to learn with, though. it's all besides the point... the point being, it's a freaky disc and will not teach good...

    Question about DX Stingray

the stingray is a very unique disc in how hard it turns at such slow speeds. if you are learning i would put it away as it might encourage you to compensate for things you shouldn't necessarily be compensating for. the stingray is really only good for trick shots or people that don't have...

    Let's hear it

here's a link to chris orrick, he's the first one up to bat. it demonstrates the follow through i think you need. both of you pull through high and finish with a fairly straight plant leg, but he carries much more forward momentum through the hit...
