    First ace?

Made my first ace today! Hole #10 (old #6) at Bryant Lake Park in Eden Prairie, MN. It's a 300 ft downhill hole with some trees before the green. Used my 169g Wizard and thought I overshot the green at first (you can't see the basket from the teebox). Then my friend says "did you hear that...

Ace's - who, what, where when & how?

I got my first ace today! It was on my home course, Bryant Lake Park in Eden Prairie, MN. Hole #10 (old #6 before they expanded to 18 holes) which is a 300 foot downhill shot with some trees before the green you have to go around. I threw my 169 Orange Wizard out there and let it come back...

    Gateway Tour Bag

I bought it in January and probably averaged 1 round per week durring the remaining winter months, now I'm averaging 4 rounds per week since the snow is gone. So I've had it for only 7 months, but it gets a lot of use and it is still like new. As far as capacity I don't remember what Gateway...

    Gateway Tour Bag

I have a Gateway Player bag (slightly smaller version of the Tour Bag) and love it. I went in to GGGT looking for a Revo bag and started talking to Blake about bags. He pointed out the Gateway bag and said they hold up just as well as a Revo. After looking at both I actually liked the more...

    High Quality Courses

Blue Ribbon Pines is just north of the Twin Cities in MN. (http://blueribbonpines.net/) Haven't palyed it yet but I hear it is incredible. One of the three days of the MN Majestic was held there. One of the other days was held at Highland Ski & Snowboard area that was mentioned earlier in the...

Suggestion on which driver to try

I also recommend the JLS. I also started out primarily sidearm, then went back and forced myself to develop my backhand throw. After talking to Blake at GGGT I picked up a JLS and that helped me a lot. I now throw mostly Teebirds, but will still break out the JLS every now and then for more...

What discs do people lose the most?

I find mostly dirivers. Over the past year they have included: Wraith Orc Talon XS Viking Crush Assassin I'm sure there's a couple more molds I'm forgeting I've only found 2 mid-ranges (a Buzz & a Millenium Sentinel). Never found a putter. Only a couple of the discs...

    DGR Disc #2: What company?

Yeah, even though they are my favorite band, DT is about as heavy as I like to get. What I enjoy about them is the amazing talent of every musician (espeically Portnoy) and how complex their music is. I'll have to check out early Marillion (I've heard a lot about them through the Transatlantic...

    DGR Disc #2: What company?

Thanks. The prog is for prog rock/metal. Dream Theater is by far my favorite band and through them I've discovered other prog bands like Transatlantic, Spock's Beard and Neal Morse (all of which have overlaping members).

    DGR Disc #2: What company?

I would definately buy a DGR Wizard or 2. Between this site and talking with Blake at GGGT my game has improved tremendously. Anyone I introduce to the game I tell to check out DGR for all the great info and advice. I picked up the mini's from GGGT as soon as they were available and I'd love...

    Pay to play?

I've been lurking and reading for about a year and finaly decided to register and participate. My home course (Bryant Lake Park) just went to pay to play at the same time it was expanded to 18 from 12 holes. I think it is the same course DPJ88 is referencing. At first I was upset at the idea...

    One disc for "party situations"

If you are willing to stray from Innova, a Discraft Comet is an excellent disc for beginners. Otherwise I'd throw another vote out there for the Roc.
