Working hands is great stuff. Yes the same Blistex, medicated green tube. It holds up longer than the thinner lotions or creams. If I do have any cracking, a layer of Blistex and a bandaid will close it and soften the area in short order.
While briefing over this thread I may have missed this suggestion, but anyway. In my return to disc golf, in Mi., in January, I have been using Blistex on the problem areas of my hands, and it has prevented cracking. It does take some rubbing it in, and of course you want to remove it from the...
That's the whole point. The two "sports" are not the same. It's table tennis to court tennis.
You clowns are so easily led. Get out of your mom's basement, have a real experience, go actually play disc golf, instead of being keyboard kings. What's worse is I was warned about this grade school...
While we're on this
I belive Volleyball would be more mainstream if we reduced the size of the ball, increased the playing area, lower the net, and finally, hit the ball with a racket.
This is a stupid conversation.
Every grammer Nazi I've met, had a dumb haircut:p
It's proportional. A golf ball is 1-5/8", the cup is roughly 3x the size of a ball 4-1/2". The average putter size is 8-3/8" the disc golf basket is roughly 3x the size of a putter 25-1/2". A putter is slightly less than 6x the size of a golf ball, so increase the putting distance by the same...
Agreed
Your lower body is all radial, stiff core. Your rotating on your right foot, but there is no wave of acceleration from your feet to your shoulders. I would try some planted driving leading from the hips, loosening the core to create acceleration. Its too easy to lose that lower body...
I'm not sure the three or four really makes much difference. It does help me to keep a looser grip on my drivers, and that is where the increased snap comes from. If I have a firm grip on the driver (pulled into the palm), the control is better, but the speed is greatly reduced.
A video would help, however.
I have to watch my rear reach. When I'm throwing mids my drive technique is very different than throwing drivers. With mids I use a four finger grip, and I do not reach completly back. With drivers I use a three finger grip, and my rear rotation is much farther. I...
I carry two identical putters for all my putting inside 50', and shape the putt accordingly. I also may drive with one or the other of those putters (so lost disc is a risk), I really don't know one from the other. I carry three other putters as well, one OS, one US, one with a bit more glide...
Find yourself an XD (or similar), and find a soccer field. Focus on straight shots while mindful of reaching back enough to develop some power. As suggested, avoid the over stable stuff for a while. Once your throwing that XD 200'-225', and can hyzer or anhyzer, you will have learned control...
7thousands, and current.
I played tournaments for a few years before I joined, didn't join till I went to pro division. To the folks of the mindset that the PDGA "does NOTHING for me", your off.......just off. I was around in the early years of my local disc golf club. The PDGA was instrumental...

Every club in my area pays back 100% to the Am divisions, typically with a discount from retail prices. Most added merchandise pays to Am, added cash goes to Pro.
When I staryed playing tournaments, 20% went to Pro, along with buying the Pro's trophy. Granted...
