Also, I think the cicada is now my favorite driver ever. Need to pick a few up in different plastics to compare to the FR Z I have. It's incredibly versatile and pretty much the only driver I'm reaching for in the woods. The glide is also pretty ridiculous for a speed 7
Agree on that - the hornet was like a speed 5 fresh z wasp.
I'll probably get a swarm to try out - though it's not likely to bump anything from my bag (unless it's the perfect 'in between' of a quake and breaker)
They already have the zone, zone OS, and zone GT though? Which would be more what your describing? The buzzz OS is kinda garbage though, so this probably would be a good addition
Anyone seen or been able to throw the Swarm?
It looks almost identical in profile to the Quake, but with the Breaker or Ringer GT top. Maybe a slightly lower glide quake?
that's wildly different than my experience with them. maybe it's the swirl z, the stock ESP were basically a Force OS in my opinion. I don't throw as far as you do anymore but I can still hit 400' on occasion.
Yeah where I'm seeing the overlap is with my most understable undertaker. It's a 168 Z that's been in the bag for the better part of 6 years. It's not unpredictably flippy by any means (quite the opposite actually, very consistent flights), but the flat top first run cicada I have is only very...
Looking for some longer term context from cicada throwers.
Kind of stuck in between the Soda and Cicada. The Z Cicada is a little more stable than I'd like, and the Soda is really similar in flight to the Mantis. Both of which seem to slightly overlap with the Undertakers that I...
a new swirly PL would be awesome, similar to the old shastashocks.
been throwing a pathfinder for a bit, but not certain that it's actually better than the aftershock. pretty similar, but the aftershock seems like what a beat pathfinder should be?
Another season, another bag thread update.
Winters have been tough lately. We're a hockey family, which leaves very little time to disc. So, I'm relegated to learning how to throw again every spring...

He's not really relevant on *tour anymore (and when he was it was minor blip at best) so I could see them cutting ties, there doesn't seem to be much benefit otherwise
In no particular order, after the Comet #1
Comet (just the best)
Roc (dx only, cycling for versatility)
Breaker (what a beat in zone aspires to be)
Undertaker (best discraft fairway for normal people)
Eagle (EL and EX, carry the full spectrum with one disc)
Surge (the old ones that aren't dummy...
I don't play competitively anymore at all. My last tournament was in 2019. I still follow the tour closely, but I don't really have any drive to play in a competitive setting, except for the occasional (rare) casual league.
It doesn't matter how you enjoy the sport, as long as you're having fun.
