Everyone has different standards for what makes a good course. I enjoy courses that are challenging and unique. My perfect course would have diverse holes: technical holes, long holes, and shots that require power and accuracy. I think a good hole provides multiple routes to the basket that makes a golfer think about risk/reward. Not all courses can be works of art, but I like a course with creative design, a course that goes for the "epic" hole. I'm not a fan of gimmicky trick shot holes but a unique hole is a name-able hole and everybody loves holes that have names (The Gauntlet, The Clown's Mouth, Top of the World, etc).
