Pros: -Long holes, a couple over 600ft
-great safe area, big park
-not too crowded ever
-18 holes
-nice new baskets
-beautiful open fairways
-elevation changes
Cons: -download a course map or youll never figure this park out
- the layout of the course is a bit goofy
-several baskets near parking lots (literally like 5 feet from parked cars)
-must throw over the road with cars driving by some times.
-holes criss crossing each other
-mediocre course design, theres so much room here and they laid this course out wrong in my opinion.
-no pads , tees are natural
-no signs, poles, markings for the course whatsoever
-along the highway for the first 5 holes,
- it is usually very windy.
-lacking more obstacles, most holes are just very long with 1-2 trees to avoid.
Other Thoughts: This park used to be a pole course, i played it 15 years ago.It continues to get better every year. Plan on being here a while, lots of ground to cover.

Pros: Long, with some big hills, mowed-grass fairways define the holes and walks. Tee signs not needed. Little to no rough or danger. Good and plenty O.B. hazards. Balanced shots.
Cons: Not much in the way of obstacles to shoot around. No tee signs at all, or map. Hole #1 has you walk away from the parking lot to the tee and back towards it, shooting at your own windshield possibly. Dirt tees are 2-3" deep in the middle, hard to run up from the side.
Other Thoughts: worth a look-see, map not needed as mowed grass leads you around

 Getting better all the time

Pros: Cascade has been getting better since it was created 3 years ago. The county now only mows the fairways making it much easier to navigate. The course is extremely long and will give you a lot of practice with your drivers. A variety of shots make this course a lot of fun. Uphill, downhill, flat, blind, short, LONG, left, right....great course.
Cons: Dirt pads accompanied with no signs can make the course difficult to navigate the first time you play it. But now that they just cut the fairways it's much easier to see where you should be going.

Pros: -Alot of 500+ feet holes
-Verry open
-Not to many people playing
-Alot of diffrent shots
Cons: -Dirt teepads
-Verry windy
-No signs
Other Thoughts: Print off the course map it will make playing alto easier if its your first time.

Hole 12's basket is there, but not where it shows on the printout, it is further away from the baseball fields fence.

A Little Goofy Layout But, Fun

Pros: Very open fairways and not too many trees to worry about. Great usese of eelvation and not a very busy park. Nice long holes for those of you that enjoy courses with long holes. Most of them are about 400' I would guess.
Cons: No markers at all. The baskets are numbered and, that's all the help you'll get in navigating this course. No tee pads and, it's hard to tell where exactly where you should tee off at. Not to mention a couple of basket placements (hole 15 is next to a parking lot) and some other goofy shots accross walking paths and stuff are a bit annoying. The course could be layed out differently to avoid those types of things.
Other Thoughts: My finace hit a car with his frisbee. Beware!

Pros: Now has hole 12 back (it was stolen), good use of hills, open course with no woods all the way through, good for driving. Township is only mowing fairways and along the bike path so it is easy to find your way to the next hole.
Cons: Always windy even on days where there isn't a cloud in the sky, so you have to play the wind.

Pros: This park is beautiful and nice to walk especially in mid to late spring. The Course plays very long, several holes >400 and at least one >700 and these holes are very open so no worries about losing your discs in heavy forest.. Its not a very popular course and that can be great, you won't have to wait to play.
Cons: The pads are natural, which in itself isn't terrible, except they are not marked at all and since the course appears to be pretty new it can be very difficult to find the natural tee area. Course design I think could be improved, While I think there are some great holes (15) in general I think it was designed quickly and by someone who doesn't disc golf.
Other Thoughts: not much to it, its long and its open so if you don't like that combination then don't play here. I occasionally go because its a big distance course but I generally like more range in my courses.

 FUN WITH WIND

Pros: If you hate short holes with a bunch of trees, you'll love this course! These holes are long and open, with rolling green hills.
Cons: Because of the open hills, even on a day with no wind, this course has wind! Also, the tees are natural, only dug out from one season with small flag markers. There is a map you can print out, but you must have Adobe reader.
Other Thoughts: You can find a map on pdga.com's course directory. just look up Cascade, MI. You will need Adobe reader. If you don't have Adobe reader, or if it does not load properly, I have uploaded a map to picoodle, here is the direct link. There is no guarantee as to how long this pic will be online.

Pros: long holes. nice rolling hills. not to many people even in the playing area.
Cons: hard to find next tee pads, not cemented and no signs. next to airport so it is always windy.
Other Thoughts: on one of the back nine holes there is a parking lot running along side the fairway. when cars are parked there you need to be careful. it annoys me.

Pros: Excellent use of elevation on holes 4,5,7,10,15, and 16, and obstructed holes, especially 4, 5, 12, and 14.
Watch the tennis courts on 17.
You will need an arm as many holes exceed 400'. The short holes can be quite a challenge, especially 13 -- basket is a few feet from OB. Control is essential.
Cons: Easy to get lost -- No tee pads or signs -- I played it over the July 4th weekend, and while the park was busy, not many folks were disc golfing.
I did run into some local disc golfers on my last round, and they said that they had plans to improve the course.

The drainage stinks, there was lots of "casual water" -- wetlands really -- when I played it. Especially around 3, 11, and 12.
Other Thoughts: The course is relatively "young" so I am confident that the local club will bring it to fruition in time.
