Pros: Designed as part of a school project. ALl in all they did a great job. They even built the baskets and they are nearly spot-on to the DGAs! The baskets are really great for a shop class project. The design around the land surrounding the school is very creative. There are some really nice and thick woods that force accurate and tunnel drives. The use of recreational areas such as fences and playgound equipment make things interesting on the back 9.
Cons: MAJOR design flaw has fairways that cross one another. With the LOW traffic here it is not a concern that comes into play, but this is one thing you should always avoid. The inexperienced designers also made a few flow errors by introducing holes in which you must walk back up the fairway of the hole you just finished to play the next hole. The back 9 plays mainly across a playground/ballfield area and gets a bit repetitive and is unimaginative although best use of the available spaces. There is no real elevation here at all. No water hazards at all. No real unique features of the given terrain that are available or have been brought into play to make this memorable.
Other Thoughts: I really do give credit to the school classes that designed and built this course. Despite some errors and a somewhat lackluster course (relative to other high caliber courses), they did a great job. It's worth a play if you're in the area, but don't go out of your way.
