Nine Baskets Does Not A Course Make!

Pros: Juan Santos-Perez, GOP, State Representative from the 39th District (Bexar County) recently attempted to pass a bill through the Texas State Legislature essentially stating that in order to be classified as a disc golf course, the course in question would have to have tee pads, signs and baskets. Unfortunately this bill died in committee.
But that's exactly what you have here at Fredericksburg Middle School. You have 9 Discatcher baskets placed around a small lawn area in front of the school. What you don't have is signage of any kind, a map of any description anywhere or any tee pads or markings of where to throw from?
With just some simple tee pads of any type, this could be a decent, respectable little course for the middle school students to play on. There's enough scattered trees to provide a little challenge. There's a tiny bit of elevation. One basket is neatly tucked into the corner of the school building.
Cons: No signage!
No tee pads!
Only two baskets ( #1 & # 7) have numbers on them!
Basically the only way to play currently is to play safari.
A couple of baskets are placed very close to the neighbor's yards. One is right next to the street. Another is 10 feet from parked cars.
Other Thoughts: If someone would just take a little effort and install some very basic tee pads of any kind. Just a front board (a buried 4 x 4) with a # on it would be a great.
Just this small amount of effort would go along way toward making this a playable course. Someone, Please! These middle school kids need to get outside and do something physical!

Could be better
Pros: Baskets are nice and the grounds of the school/playground are fairly well kept. Decent place to introduce the sport to someone and toss a round with a loved one for recreation. A better-than-nothing place to keep your mid-range game sharp while visiting historical Fredericksburg.
Cons: Not at all challenging for advanced players. Not marked and does not have tee pads. Lacking distance and variety.
Other Thoughts: If you're in town visiting, bring your discs along and play this course. It will probably be the most enjoyable 30 minute activity you'll do in Fredericksburg. At least you can add another notch on your 'courses played' list.

The Perfect Putt-Putt Disc Golf
Pros: Nice baskets, open throwing areas.
Great for practice/warm-up.
This environment creates interest for these middle school kids to grow up playing disc golf!
Cons: No tee boxes or distance markers. Where do you start??
Much smaller than anticipated.
Other Thoughts: I imagined a nice 9-hole course, but not a playground! Being a 5-10 acre course, obviously it's meant to be played from ONE tee from the middle of the course, although I did not see any tee boxes, any type of guidance, or distance markers.
Fredericksburg being the tourist attraction it is needs a REAL disc golf course. Beautiful Hill Country!
