Pros: Nice concrete tees. Variety of hole distances. Variety between open holes and technical ones. Variety between type of shots needed. Hole signs on most of the holes. Score cards with map of course on number one tee. A top of the world hole; something rarely seen in flat South Dakota.
Cons: Fairway grass is too long. Skipping the disc is possible some times though. You really get punished for being the rough as it is very long. (Not necessarily a bad thing, it just makes it more difficult). Some long distances between a few holes. Enough room for the course to be 19 -21 holes. Hole one could leave you in the water if you go to the right. Some holes lacked hole signs.
Other Thoughts: Great course for all level of players. It does play a little too easy for the more experienced player. The par four 16th could really just be a longer par three.

Pros: A very beautiful area along the river. It has the most elevation changes of any course in the yankton area. It is now a challenging and very fun place to play. This is by far the best course in SE South Dakota now.
Cons: Long Course
Other Thoughts: It is the most unique place to play in yankton.

Pros: -Nice baskets. Discatchers
-Decent use of available elevation.
-Water is somewhat of a hazard on hole one. I have found a few discs in the lake over there.
-Tees are marked by wood posts and the signage is very good.
-Scorecards with map, par, distance are available at tee one.
-Plenty of parking, garbage cans, bathrooms, etc. This is a very nice and cleanly place.
-No holes are too short or too long. Good varied distances throughout.
-Layout is pretty easy to follow, especially with map.
-Course has a good fun factor, not too hard and not too easy. There are definitely a few ace runs here.
-This course can be played and enjoyed by all. There are fun shots.
Cons: -Park can be busy so you might have to wait or keep your eyes open for people.
-Could lose a disc in the lake on hole one but that would take a decent overthrow or too far to the right.
-Pay to play may be considered a con by some but not by me
-Some of the holes on both halves of the course seem to blend together a little bit.
Other Thoughts: This is a decent course in a good place. The recreation areas in the area are awesome for many activities and I'm glad disc golf was thought of too.
As of September 2013, this course has been expanded into 18 holes and is a much better course. The course actually goes into the woods and incorporates more elevation. They also poured 18 concrete tees and updated signage. They took out a few of the bad holes from the old 9 and made new ones that are better and safer. This is now Yankton's best course by far.

There is a DG Course here?
Pros: To clarify the title, let me say this place is so beautiful that it took me like 4 holes to just stop looking around at the surroundings and remember the real reason I came here. The course is in great shape, well maintained, and use the slight elevation that it does have. There are scorecards on the first hole. (Yes, there were actually some there.) Hole #1 actually shoots out toward the lake, but you would have to really over throw it to get wet. There are just a few trees on the course and they get used once or twice. Navigation is easy and the posts marking the tees do have the hole number on them. The variety of hole lengths is fine for the area they used for the course. The grass tees actually have grass on them and the baskets were in fine shape. There is a bathroom just a short walk away and the parking area is small but suitable.
Cons: The tee area is not always level and there is no real foul lines. Most of the holes here are wide open with little to no challenge to them.
Other Thoughts: The Fun Factor here is just OK. The course really did not do much for me. There just isn't anything to brag about here except for the view and the surrounding area being this beautiful. Playing this course is not really worth the $3, but it is to just hang out for a while down in this area. However, this would be a great place to bring a disc golf first date. ;)

Pros: Wide open, flat throws for the most part with a not-so-tricky tree line to pass through on one hole.
Cons: Not challenging for anyone above a true beginner. There is also a walking path and road which cut through the course.
Other Thoughts: Great if this is your first time playing disc golf or if you want to practice drives in a wide open space. You can take a hike after you play or just admire the beautiful bluffs on the lake.
