Pros: This course has been maintained the manager Gary for the last 20 years. He is very friendly. He put in the brick teepads, made the baskets, and planted trees. It was one of the first courses in the area.

Beautiful location, lots of mature trees, water, and rock outcropping. The layout is very well done. Alot of technical shots.
Cons: Gary said that they have applied for a grant for new baskets. This course really deserves them. But the ones it has don't detract from the experience.
Other Thoughts: I drove an hour and a half and it was well worth it. This course has alot of character.

Make sure to check out the course in Springfield and plum creek in walnut grove if you are in the area.

Pros: Very peaceful park.
Two sets of tees per hole.
Short tees have small blocks.
Nice signs.
Love the creek, rolling hills and waterfall.
Very nice variety of shots.
Shouldn't have to worry about hitting others using the park unless you are completely wild with your drives.
It's got a Bathroom and water to drink!
Cons: Long tees have no pads just a post.
Baskets in dire need a facelift. If these items were fixed I could see rating it higher.
Other Thoughts: I love the variety on the course. I which it was closer but I be back to play again. Make a drive over to play it is worth it.

 Beautiful location

Pros: Peaceful course, small but not necessarily easy
Cons: Little/no break from the wind, the baskets are homemade but I guess a grant was applied for to get them updated. Remember the park is closed 10/15 till 04/15

Pros: - Very interesting terrain, with lots of rocky outcroppings, trees, and tall grasses to keep you honest.

- Good signage, good parking, and a restroom between the Hole 9 basket and Hole 1 tee.
Cons: - Homemade baskets are notorious for letting discs pass right through the chains, and if your disc lands in the basket, several holes have gaps that will allow your disc to fall right out the bottom.

- VERY narrowly-mowed fairways can make finding your tee shots very difficult, particularly during Summer months.

- A bit confusing to play the long/Pro tees, as they are only identified by a post in the ground (and aren't always as well-maintained as the short tees).
Other Thoughts: It is a really fun course to play, but without a spotter, it can be very tough in the Summer months. It also is a course that could easily be so much better, just with a bit more mowing (wider fairways) and better utilization of some of the adjacent land area. Some of the best holes on the course aren't yet holes...but hopefully will/could be, someday.

 Beautiful autumn fun.

Pros: Informative information booth including explanation of basic rules. Clear hole map at each tee, provided score cards with course map attached, even provided discs (cheap frisbees... but still something!) Great use of terrain, well groomed course, nice variety of short and long holes.
Cons: Having never seen a pole designate the "expert" tee, it was confusing at first and not noted at all in the information. Long grass could bother some, but it maintained the great outdoorsy feel.
Other Thoughts: This course, though off the beaten path was a joy to play. Though I played it in November (park was technically closed for the season... shh!) it still proved to be enjoyable. It is probably absolutely beautiful during the summer.

Interesting course in the middle of nowhere

Pros: -Dual tees
-Nice tees with map and length of both tees. Tees are made of pavers and are mostly flat.
-Good use of the small trees and bushes as well as rocks, small valleys and stream.
-Check out the waterfall after hole 5 I believe, its not huge but its a nice sight.
-Map/scorecard in the shelter at the start
-Decent elevation for the area.
-Easy to follow, mowed paths to the next hole and they are close enough together.
-Good parking and bathrooms at the start.
-Other things to do in the park: check out the falls, hike and swim.
Cons: -Not enough trees or other obstacles to block the non-stop south west mn wind.
-The long tees are only marked by a wooden pole, its nice that they are there and they are much longer than the short tees but there is no tee pad or signage.
-Baskets are homemade and have less chains than normal so they don't catch the best.
-Tall grass can eat discs.
Other Thoughts: This course is average difficulty and length. I would bring a spotter if you decide to play this course, the tall grass can conceal a disc very well even if you don't know where it lands.

**I found a disc on hole 6 I think with no name or number but if you ID it I would make an effort to return it.
