Pros: Great Location! Beautiful State Park that offers a nice get-away in Rural South Dakota.....Nice Tee Pads with Good Baskets to Match....The course seems to have a Tourist scene with regular players that fill the void.....Great elevation and Technical diversity.
Cons: No True Water Hazards (which may be a Plus to some)....Also none of the Holes have Marked DIstances or Pin Locations! Not a huge downer but isn't ideal!
Other Thoughts: The Old Trees and Beautiful State Park Surroundings are what make this course! It has a Nice Atmosphere and is decently Challenging..........If you play all Sidewalks/Roadways OB, the course can challenge a Pro....But keep in mind there are no real Water Hazards, so the challenge is limited......But I would highly recommend this course to any player, especially considering it's obscure location and Mature Trees that pose a real challenge.......Overall a Fun Course!......If you are Traveling North on I-29 this course is a must stop!

Middle of nowhere but fun

Pros: -Nice tee boxes that are numbered.
-Good flow of course, map isn't needed to find next tee or which basket to aim at ever.
-Great scenery; under giant oak trees and surrounded by lakes.
-Very quiet place in rural SD. You won't be disturbed here. This part of the park is only for disc golfing.
-Nice baskets that catch well. Are also numbered.
-Hard to lose a disc.
-Many other things to do in this park.
-Good variation of distances.
-Some good ace and deuce chances but if you play it wrong they can turn
into 4s and 5s.
-The course is probably never crowded.
-Can borrow discs from the main office.
-Contrary to the pictures, there are large concrete pads

Cons: -Could use a little more shot variety.
-Not close to anything, a 20 minute drive from Brookings which is the nearest city of any real size.
-Costs 6 dollars for a car. Not too expensive and definitely worth the money if you make an afternoon or day of it.
-Most holes are driveable in one.
-Watch out for bugs and poison ivy!

Other Thoughts: When you get in the park keep driving til you get all the way to the end of it. The course is out by the Picnic shelter and beach.

Pros: -BEAUTIFUL wooded course, with massive oak trees covering the majority of it.
-Plenty of elevation changes.
-Fairly technical course due to the presence of many trees.
-Easy to navigate.
-Not usually crowded.

Cons: -Short; only 9 holes.
-Signage could be improved.
-Signage could be improved.
Other Thoughts: -You must pay $5 or so to enter since this course is in a state park. However, it is well worth it if you bring in a carload of friends. Also, there are many hiking trails, decent fishing, a swimming beach, and camping. Perfect for a cheap weekend getaway!
