Pros: Several things come to mind when I try and decide whats a good course and a bad course, so here are the check off's on my own personal list for postitives:
1. Great tee pads at every hole
2. Nice hole info at each one
3. resting spots on some holes
4. Respectable length, more for beginners versus someone who is looking for a challenge.
5. Well maintained and nice boundary lines set up
6. Easily navigable.
7. Has enough space for an extra 9 if anyone puts forth the time and effort.

Cons: 1. easy par
2. right on the high way (easy to find, but who wants to listen to traffic when your trying to escape?)
3. Cigarrette nazi's, so be careful when your puffin.
4. Not a lot of variances of hole types.
5. Seemed too short to fully enjoy.

Other Thoughts: The thing you have to remember is that it's just a 9 hole, kind of a stop by quick play, so when i say its lacking in length, it really makes up for it with the OB's set up on each hole. Most of the shots are very open so they designated some barriers that make it kind of difficult. It's nothing to be empressive but for a small course the pro's definitely outway the cons. It's a beautiful area and up keep is top notch.

Pros: Lots of open space.
Short, short, short, all holes are birdie-able.
Good warm up course if you're doing a tour.

Good warm up course if you're doing a tour.
Cons: DONT GO RIGHT!!!! All out of bounds is too the right, so catch a gust on a skybound disc, and you're wandering through the 8 foot tall grass for a while.

Pros: Easy to navigate.
Good use of OB and mandatory throws. You have to know how to throw fading to the left and right.
Nicely kept w/nice tee blocks, signs, and baskets.
Hard to lose discs.

Hard to lose discs.
Cons: Very crowded.
All the baskets can be reached in one throw by a descent player. Good and bad I guess. Not challenging, but at least it's a good opportunity for an ace.

Other Thoughts: Ultimately a great course for beginners or players looking for a quick round and chance to work on their short game. Expect to play it a couple times since it is only 9 very short holes (longest is 300 ft).

Pros:
Orchard Park is a beautiful nine hole disc golf course located in Hillsboro, Oregon. This park has ample parking, most days, and an extremely clean bathroom near the entrance. This course is remarkably clean and well taken care of, with locals working hard on the surrounding landscape by planting trees, bushes, and flowers to brighten up the area. Woodchips have also been spread out along the pathways and pins, giving the course an updated look. Tee signs are in great shape, with updated distance, par, and a map showing major obstacles and pin locations. Tee pads are all cement, well maintained, and are all the appropriate size. The Mach III baskets are well maintained and in excellent shape!
This disc golf course was very straight forward, with good flow, and is very easy to navigate. The course was designed having the holes looping around the park counter clockwise, with a balanced shot selection off the tee and a few mandos and OB's to make things interesting. This course is best suited for novice and intermediate players alike, with few obstacles and wide open fairways. This course is great for new players because there is little chance to lose discs.

Cons:
This course, although ideal for those learning the game, presents little challenge for advanced and open players. Most would find themselves shooting well under, trying to ace run the majority of the holes. Although this course would be fun for anyone, it would most likely get old quickly.
Another issue I saw when I was there was how quickly the course got crowded. Because there were so many playing for the first time, during their lunch break, or just playing a quick round while traveling through, the wait time became increasingly worse.
Last, the walking paths that meander through the course could be an issue. With pedestrians constantly walking through, many times players will have to wait and watch out on several of the holes along the way.

Other Thoughts:
The designers for Orchard Park made a short challenging course with the room they had allotted, and designed a course that was perfect for all ages, especially families. This course was easily accessible from the freeway, and is the perfect spot to stretch and get a quick round in before heading toward Horning's Hideout.

Pros: Signage is good, tees are large and well maintained with few hazards if you overstep your drive. The course is well-maintained with good use of OB and mando trees. Left-to-right playing holes make shot/disc selection a factor.
Cons: Somewhat crowded, short. OB can creep up on you for a couple holes. Few holes share fairways and you can encounter other groups playing in to your drives. Walkers seem oblivious to the danger of discs.
Other Thoughts: Close to MAX so mass transit to this course from the city is relatively painless.

Pros: An open course with short holes for beginners. Very clean and well kept. Concrete tees. Holes are easy to find and are well marked.
Cons: A lot of traffic. Being a small course, there can be a lot of pedestrians and other disc golfers, so you may need to wait or be careful when you throw. Advanced players may find this course boring due to it being very open and the holes are pretty short.
Other Thoughts: A fun little course for beginners or for those who want a quick 9 hole game.

Pros: Well thought out, clean, great for beginners like my gf :D.
Cons: not marked out very well, I got lost 4 different times, WAY TO MANY PEOPLE PLAYING, real hectic and everyone wants you to play speed golf...
Other Thoughts: Fun if your new to the sport!!
