Pros: Very well maintained fairways and growth.
Nice level concrete tee pads.
Allows for a variety of shots.
Great course for someone just learning the game or looking to learn a specific shot type.
Plays very quickly and without confusion.
Cons: Construction in the area has large amounts of mud in and around a couple holes. Also, on the day I played, basket #9 had been removed to make way for a road through the old hole. Some of the baskets are beginning to rust and show signs of wear and tear. Very short course that doesn't give an experienced player the opportunity to open up and let loose on any throws.
Other Thoughts: Overall, this was a very well maintained college course that would make for a great course for children or people just learning the game. There is very little chance of losing any discs, so throw with confidence.

 Just go to Larson Park

Pros: The baskets are fine and tee boxes are concrete. Navigation is easy - every tee box is close to the previous basket.

There are a lot of trees to block the South Dakota wind, although most of the fairways are open. The only reason my group would go to this course was if it was very windy (bad for the more open Larson Park).
Cons: The course is very flat.
It isn't very appealing visually (the water hazard is a culvert).
It is easy, and all the holes are short (I think there's only one over 300', if that)
It is right next to a road, so a good drive or overthrow on an approach will lead to a disc in the road.
Other Thoughts: This course is maintained by the university but is open for the public to play.

Most will enjoy the nearby Larson Park course much better.

Pros: Short course that throws great if you are under time constraints or are already at the SDSU campus (or skipping a class for a round).
Cons: This course is often crowded, and is fairly easy. There is only one garbage recepticle (by tee #1)
Other Thoughts: You will run into alot of college students here; this course is a great warm-up before playing larson park (in Brookings) or Oakwood Lakes State Park (15 min NW of Brookings)

Minor elevation changes on this course can make your disk fly a little funky, adding [necessary?] challenge.

Pros: -Nice beginners course.
-Holes and boxes marked, wont get lost.
-No real hazzards to lose discs. Hazzards in description are kinda there but not really.
-Layout offers variety of shots. Hole 5 requires some thinking and everybody has their own method.
Cons: -Too small.
-All holes very short.
-Will be absolutely crowded on a nice day during the school year.
-Hole 9 was removed for construction and is likely gone forever. It wasn't an exceptional hole or anything but it's only an 8 holer now.
-The baskets are getting old. They work just fine, more of a cosmetic complaint.
Other Thoughts: Its a beginners course on a college camps. Its a course but nothing special.
