Perfect course to start playing DG
Pros: 9 hole course that you get your exercise on for sure. It plays through the whole west campus of UNC. Holes range from 150-425" Lots of trees that are like magnets for your disc so that makes it challenging. Is a quick play once you have played it a couple times. Takes about 30 minutes to play the course. Holes 1 and 9 are the longest. Lots of people play this course since its on a college campus so you get to interact with a lot of other players.
Cons: It can be over crowded at times, since there is a lot of people at UNC who play. Also DO NOT PLAY during a week day during the semesters you will be waiting a while for people to walk across the sidewalks. Other then that the only other thing is watch out for the trees they are placed in the right spots and for some reason at least once every 18 I skim a tree.
Other Thoughts: This was the course that got me hooked! You do not need to bring your disc bag for this one a driver and a putter will work fine with this course. I love this course its right behind the Outback in Greeley as far as my rank. Also I know some kids who are going to try and put another nine in on central campus. Good luck to them.

Pros: The course plays throughout the campus of Northern Colorado U. Here-in lies part of the problem. Because the course was set up to play right through busy areas of the campus, I'm sure play would often being interrupted, suspended and otherwise forced to detour around masses of college students going about their daily lives. I played in the summer with virtually no students present and the course was quite enjoyable. The course is quite long by college course standards with only two holes playing under 290'. The pictures on site here are old as the natural teepads have been upgraded to concrete ones. They still have the red diamond w/number in them to designate the hole. The course features Innova baskets. It was quite easy to navigate with the on-line map. # 9 is a 500' throw across a wide expanse of green grass. Nice hole for a roller. This also might be a safer throw with students around.
Cons: The # 6 basket is sunk in the ground a little too low. The designers missed a great OP on hole # 8 when they didn't place the basket on top of the grassy mound nearby.
Student traffic would certainly affect play. There aren't a lot of obstacles present on any of the holes, unless you count coeds.

Other Thoughts: This is a better than average college course. It's length alone, gives it a step up on many of the college courses I've played. The fact that it plays through such a busy area of campus is a drawback. Playing later in the day, on weekends or during summers would help.

Good Course
Pros: Open with no hazards, perfect for beginners tees and pins are easy to navigate. Trees provide shade with grass pretty much all the way through the course.
Cons: Muddy and some trees that can cause problems again very good for beginners.

Pros: -Nice concrete teepads, with the hole number on them, and teepads are easy to locate
-Distances ranging from about 170 to around 400 feet
-Good use of available trees and other obstacles
-Several opportunities for an ace run
-Course flow is pretty easy to follow, and it is very hard to get mixed up as to which basket you are throwing too
-Baskets are well numbered and in good shape

Cons: -Too many of the holes are wide open (Holes 2,4,6,7,8,and 9) and for the most part have very few obstacles (though nine does have the trees lining the right side of the fairway which makes it a challenge to keep out of)

Other Thoughts: This is the course I learned to play on and I absolutely love playing it. It's not the greatest course ever but it is well worth a stop to play a round or two if you are in the area. If you can wait till around 4 or later do so, because then classes will mostly be done for the day.

The Definition of Average 
Pros: Spread out over three large areas, this course makes okay use of the space given with holes ranging from 147' to just over 400'. The total length of the course is just over 2500', but could be longer given the space. The DISCatcher discs are marked with the hole number and are always easy to spot from the distance on the manicured campus lawns.
Tees are concrete and is adequate size measuring about 10' long and 4' in the back and 3' in the front. Each also have the hole number stamped into the box and are fairly easy to locate even if you forget your map like I did. Most holes have a minor scattering of trees, but #9, and #5 use the trees well if you throw RHBH.
BEST HOLE/S: #5

Cons: Even though the tees are easy to find, I still recommend the map because #9 and #1 are nowhere near each other. If you park by #1 you'll have a good walk at the end and vice versa. There is faculty parking by #9, so steer clear if you don't want a ticket. Also with navigation - the course is fairly spread out with a good walk between most tees. Note the locations of #7 and #8 because if can be confusing without the map.

It would be a great course to install longer and more varied tee boxes because there are no doglegs or blind shots, and with only #5 offering a tight line, you could probably play the entire course with driver and putter and be okay. Also, although the concrete tees are nice, just like Epple Park and Pioneer Park, it would have been nice to have some indication above the grass level for easy navigation.

Other Thoughts: Although this course rates slightly higher than Epple Park due being a full nine holes with good concrete tees, I actually enjoyed playing Epple Park more. Truth is, this course - though solid in its design plays a bit boring and leaves you walking away finding most of the course forgettable. It's the very definition of what an average course is - something that is well laid out and that you enjoy yourself, but you're not wowed or feel like you just have to hit this place again. It's not great and certainly not bad - simply average.

Pros: Great beginner course. My first round of golf ever was at this course a week after it was put in the ground. Aside from concrete pads, it didnt change in my 4 years of school after the course went in. Its a good course though, makes you learn a small variety of shots.

Cons: No accuracy required. Only remotely wooded hole is not even 200'. After hundreds and hundreds of rounds and quite a few metal hits I never aced hole 1.

Other Thoughts: The course would be better if hole 8 was on the mound (we always joked about going in with a shovel at 3am and moving it. . . Safari here is a blast when classes are not getting out. Don't forget to play hole ten (throw from ledge by cactus back to hole 1's tee.
Always a good 9 Pros: This is very nice 9 hole course that has a variety of shots to choose from. The concrete tee pads and sidewalks make this a very friendly course to all kinds of disc players. Nice elevation changes in an otherwise flat area. Great place to play when it's been rainning and other course are flooded.
Cons: Not a lot of obstacles. Most holes are pretty open without significate ob's. Then there are the people. If you go out to play during the school year be prepared to wait to make sure no walkers are hit.
Other Thoughts: This is a very pretty looking 9 hole course, and probably the nice 9 hole in the area.

A nice simple college course
Pros: Concrete tee pads and a nicely manicured environment. A few trees here and there to get in your way if your aim is a bit wild.
Cons: Not a lot of obstacles, lots of wide open shots. None of the holes really stick out as memorable. No signs at tee boxes telling you length and no course map at the beginning.
Other Thoughts: You'll want to print the a map from this site of the course if you're playing for the first time because some of the tee's are a bit of a walk apart. A basic nine hole course to build your basic skills on. Not any real chances to go OB or lose a disc unless you park it high up in a tree.

Average, fun course
Pros: This is a great 9 hole course with nice tee pads and very well manicured green fairways. The holes vary in length from very short to medium length with large trees in play on a few holes. Elevation changes can make the holes challenging in the wind.
Cons: Most shots are wide open and not very challenging. The course in hard to play during the week when school is in session. There is a little bit of walking between holes.
Other Thoughts: Overall, the course is by far the best Greeley has to offer. The UNC campus is very nice and the people are friendly.

Pros: Good length for a 9 hole. Some good technical shots. A few mid to long holes all within the Campus area.
Cons: Alot of traffic, no real hazard plays to mention
Other Thoughts: This is a nice course that I would play again. This is one of the better 9 holes in Northern Colorado.
