Pros: -Rolling hills create elevation on about the holes making for some rather scenic looking holes.
-Nice variety of wooded and open shots.
-Course maintenance is excellent, nicely mowed fairways, and overall it is not too difficult to find errant throws in the rough.
-Quality baskets with added inner yellow chains, making the baskets "pop" a bit more than usual.
-Playing all of the roads (see cons) and paths as O.B. provides an added challenge throughout the course.
-Concrete tees on all holes.
-Course runs through a relaxed park setting.
-Highlights include: #5 (elevated tee for a scenic 500' shot),#10 (300' shot over two rolling hills),11 (320' down hill shot with O.B road hugging the right side of the fairway) ,12 (540' hole with lake running on the left side, the entire length of the hole. Basket is within 15 feet of the water and on the other side is guarded by two mature pines).
Cons: -Difficult to navigate, no signage.
-Roads border a number of holes so you have to be aware of cars and pedestrians.
-Shot placement not an emphasis for majority of the holes. On most holes you will still be able to save par, even after a poor drive.
-The lake is pretty nasty, especially after mid July.
Other Thoughts: This is one of my all time favorite courses to play. I drive through Menomonie about 3 times a year and always stop to play a round. Admittedly, this is not the most challenging course out there, but by no means is it a pitch and put. I feel it offers a nice compliment to the tight, wooded, Tower Ridge courses for disc golf in the Chippewa Valley. The combination of wooded and open holes make it a perfect park setting course in my mind.

 Decent park course

Pros: The course plays through a sprawling park with a couple nice elevation changes, a great view over the lake, and lots of great mature trees. The majority of holes play through the trees with multiple lines and limited rough. A couple holes use the large drop off to the lower level of the park as a hazard along the fairway, and a couple holes bring the lake into play, so there is some level of risk here.

There are decent concrete tees that are in pretty good shape. There are next tee markers at all the baskets, some funny walks here but if you pay attention at the previous hole it's not too difficult to follow. The baskets are older, but catch ok.
Cons: There are no tee signs, and lots of baskets that aren't immediately visible from the tees, so you'll have to do lots of extra walking if you like to know where you're throwing. The course gets a little repetitive, most of the holes feel pretty similar and, and too many are a little too open to provide much challenge or interest. Despite the next tee markers, it's easy to get turned around here, especially with no numbering at the tees to help you know you're on the right hole. There are a couple of holes that use the more wooded areas of the park, more of these holes would be great here. The road comes into play a couple times, taking away from the feel of the course, and possibly causing some safety issues.
Other Thoughts: There are some nice holes here, especially the one playing down the hill toward the lake, but too many repetitive ones to make it all that interesting. Beginners will find it a little long, but not too punishing. More experienced players won't find too many different challenges here, and won't find many parts of their game really tested.

Pros: this course contains lots of variety. whether you are a person who thrives on the long hole or one who would prefer a short hole where precision is necessary.
Cons: this course only has one con, and that is hole 11. if u want a challenge and are an experienced player you will have playing it becuz there is a water hazard involved. but if you dont feel like fishing for your disc in the water, my friends and I combine the two holes below the hill. so instead of playing it around the lake we make the hole for 12 the hole for 11 and play it to the right which is below the shed.
Other Thoughts: i love this course. for anyone who enjoys frisbee this course is for you. whether you are a beginner or an expert you will love this course

Pros: variety of hole types. a few blind bombers, a few links style open holes. short and long fairways. I will be back next trip up to the Chippewa Vally.
Cons: Some road crossing confusion half way through but no problem thanks to the locals!
Other Thoughts: I will be back next trip up to the Chippewa Vally.

 A Big Disappointment

Pros: - a few fun holes
- nice, clean park
- large cement pads
Cons: - no tee signs or distance label of any kind
- only one bathroom between 17 & 18
- hole 7: it looks cool from a picture, but you're throwing directly over 25 feet of trees and vines, and then the hole is 300 ft farther. it's nigh impossible to have any sort good shot come even halfway to this basket. lots of other holes are poorly laid out too.
- many long walks between baskets that are tough to find without any signs
Other Thoughts: overall this course was a huge disappointment. there were only a couple cool holes, and the lack of signs or labels of any kind on the tees made it VERY difficult to navigate.

The lake that borders a few of the mid holes is nice to look at from a distance, but it's actually really gross and you don't want to have to walk around in it looking for a disc.

watch for other people running/walking dogs if you play early in the morning

if you're in town it's worth playing, but don't alter a road trip to visit this course

Pros: At first it doesn't look like much. It starts in a large park with baseball diamonds and a wilderness refuge to the rear of the park. The first two hole of the course are very typical of any disc course but once you get past those it really turns into a nice course. Rolling hills with mature trees make this a nice course to have a great time. Very spread out the course makes it way down a large hill and toward a large lake.
Cons: One hole on the back nine is set dangerously on the top of a large hill. If you throw to the right you will have a hard time locating your disc in the dense brush on the side of the large hill.
Other Thoughts: This course had many beautiful holes despite the look of the course to begin with. It challenges your distance and ability to let it hang out there a ways. I really enjoyed this course.

Pros: Long sweeping holes make this course very fun and relaxing. The holes are well kept for the most part and have well kept tees and baskets.

You start in the middle of a park, throwing across open fields. from there, you work around a small road and back into a residential area. later, you move to a lightly wooded area and down into a lake side tri-hole set. Finally, you move into a heavily wooded area to finish it off.

This course is wonderful to play, just give it time. In now way should you play this when you are in a rush. It is hard to get done in less than 2 hours, and it lessens the experience if you do so. take a bottle of water, or any drink, get some food before you go out, and simply take your time playing through
Cons: No technical holes to speak of. Every hole uses a long range drive. Most are way to easy to be able to par, as long as you are consistent. This is a course to play to relax, it will not make you an incredibly skilled player

Pros: this course is designed for disc golf. is not just thrown into a park to attract more people there. each hole is different in every way possible. every hole (besides 1 and 2) are very interesting. great concrete tee pads with some at great vantage points. GREAT for every disc golfer and after every hole there is a marker to tell you where next tee pad is.
Cons: course is divided by a road, seemed kind of odd. all the tee markers are gone have to walk the hole to know where catcher is.
Other Thoughts: Would recommend this course. i live in northern il and attended my first semester of college near this course. and went back the 5 hours to play this course again. beautiful area saw a golden eagle for the first time here.

Pros: a variety of starting points and great exercise. Takes you down toward the lake and up toward the animal park and all around in between. Great for friends hanging out.
Cons: Some hills, some trees. very long distance inbetween basket an next starting point.
Other Thoughts: wear good shoes and a smile and you'll have a great time.
