Rugged and Rustic 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 8, 2009 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Wooded and rugged course, beautiful and west coast to the max on a remote island setting. A comfortable mix of holes with tough alleys and enough distance to have things go really wrong. Top notch clubhouse, the Dawg Dayz of Summer Tournament is held around August, the entry fee includes dinner at Linnea farm, a feast like you cannot imagine!

Cons:

Infrequently used and mildly overgrown due to lack of traffic keep an eye on your disc. Takes a few hours to get there (Ferry from Cambell River-Quadra Is. then ferry Quadra Is.-Cortes Is.) Must pack empties out, no garbage cans on course, outhouse. Tournament is held same weekend as a rave/music fest so reserve a camping spot.

Other Thoughts:

How do you get a picture of the "Dawghouse" but no review? There's actually a third and epic course on the island but you need a local to find it and an urge to hike a mountain. Great hospitality at the tournament; it was a truly memorable experience and the best way to enjoy all three courses to the fullest.
