A must play if in Comox
Pros: Right in Town close close close average village park
Cons: got to go gotta throw a few trees in the way but it is a challenge
Other Thoughts: play it backwards, throw back to the last hole, look for orange painted rocks on paths which are tee markers back to last basket
Played: 11 Reviewed: 3 Exp: 30 Years
Pros: Very accessible. The holes are mostly short but still have some challenges due to tree placement. You can play a couple of rounds fairly quickly as long as there isn't a lot of traffic. T's are mostly gravel and fairly well marked, but the blues some times are just marked with paint. The aerial photo is fairly accurate but mostly uses red T's and positions at least one basket a bit off it's actual location (but it's easy to see right from the T). The park is pretty open without a lot of underbrush to lose a disc in (you might have to look for a disc now and then but not bad at all) and doesn't often have that much traffic.
Cons: Only 9 holes and they are fairly short. Even the longest (#8) is aceable, especially LHBH with a Wraith (ok, I've come close but not quite been succesful, in fact my only aces have come on #5).
Other Thoughts: A great little course to bring new players and have them learn the game or just drop by if you happen to have some time to play. There are alternate T's to play the course in a backward fashion, but they aren't really marked and you need to know a local to get them to show you. Few enough people that you can play backwards after a 'front 9' most of the time. Like pretty much every course in BC, it's in a nice neighborhood, there's not much litter and you don't have to worry about crazy locals.
