Pros: - Pretty location inside of a large park, lots of trees and shade
- holes 4-8, 12, 14 and 17 present elevation and tree obstacles that make them particularly challenging and fun to play. Basket 14 is inside a circle of three large trees, for example, so it's known as "the notch" for the number of shots made between the branches of one tree frequently tossed "between" after whacking it on the approach
- tree-whacking is a common outcome here, check the trees for scars -- it's full of obstructions, forehand shots, low hooks, and other interesting plays to make it through the fairly heavily wooded north half
- pray for backet #17 to be in the C position -- behind a small hill and blind from the tee -- look for painted dot on a tree behind the mound from the tee shot if the basket is not clearly visible to the right of the mound
- Concrete tee pads, good-condition course markers, movable baskets
- Nice pro shop, with knowledgeable clerk who can help you choose from their full selection of Innova discs
- a good map is available at the pro shop, but you don't need it because the couse is well marked
- nice people on the course and at the shop
- easy to get to, and when you're done playing, Seal Beach is only about two miles farther south for a refreshing post-play dip in the Pacific

Cons: - urban course: little variation in terrain, no elevation changes, park setting
- one of the early holes (3?) runs parallel and close to a busy street: hooking your shot to the left will land it in the street where it WILL be run over by a car!

- this is a great course both for visitors and for locals, while it lacks a natural setting and elevation changes, it's still a fun and challenging course
- the course is bicycle distance from my home ... if you're coming to the area to play it, ping me in advance for a round together

Pros: Wodded course in so cal, well designed and not much foot traffic. plenty of finesse shots and tunnel shots.
Cons: short range
Other Thoughts: great course to play at if your in the so cal area

Pros: Lots of shade, which is unusual for So Cal. The front nine winds around bushy trees that reward well placed finesse shots, many with a driver. Things stretch out on the back nine, especially in the long tournament layout. This is a fun course that requires control and power.
Cons: LA traffic
Other Thoughts: A great 1-2 combo...warm up at ElDo and then head to LaMa for some serious hucking.
