Pros: -Great use of land available
-Variety of shots required to do well
-Great course for beginners to learn on and not feel discouraged, but presents enough of a challenge for more experienced players
-The course doesn't reward those with a big arm. Hole distances range from 150-354'
-Signs and course map look great!
-Great use of land made available. Plays around and over seldom used streets.

Cons: -Lack of tee pads. Tees marked by pipe in the ground and tee sign. Unfortunately, if you throw RHBH, it puts the sign right in the way of your throwing motion.
-Small window on the DB-5's, punishes a good putt.Chain outs are common.
-Parking an issue when students are on campus, otherwise, there is parallel parking next to hole 1.
-Course plays in one-direction which makes for a long walk back after a round
-Baskets are portable and only held down by a padlock. There were times when we had to pick up a basket prior to playing the hole.

Other Thoughts: Plays around and between Erskine's buildings and gives you a good view on downtown Due West and the campus. The course designer had restraints as to what could be done (no permanent tee pads nor baskets) as well as what areas of campus would be made available.
This is a typical course, but the only one in Abbeville County.

Pros: Decent basic design to test all shots. 2 tougher holes, mostly good for beginners. Clean. Good introduction to the game for the kids of this campus, beats not having one. Not in the way of others on campus.
Cons: Due to layout of land, it all goes one way out so it's a long walk back. Map needed for hole to hole navigation (provided!). Not spectacular or memorable in any way.
Cheesy, improperly installed baskets. Dirt tees. Parking hard to figure out.
