You may lose a disc!

Pros: Very good variety of shots to be used.
Bag hooks are a plus. The super long par 5 on hole 18 is fun!
I started playing disc golf at this course and never tried another course for the first year. After going to another course for the first time I realized how easy the other courses are. Bella Vista will challenge you!

Cons: Don't play immediately after heavy rains/floods. The last large flood really did damage on this course.
Does get muddy on several holes after rains.
2 holes have powerlines that get in the way of opening drives, 13, 17. 17 actually had a disc somehow stuck up in the powerline and burnt to a crisp.
Hole 8's basket was ripped out of the ground during a flood, hasn't been fixed properly as of this review. (Just sits above ground with the concrete base keeping it upright)
No benches but that is something we can live without.

Other Thoughts: There are six holes with a water hazard. Four of them have easier amateur tee pads to almost eliminate the risk.

Good, Could Be Better
Pros: This course has a variety of holes from wide open to tight wooded shots. It runs along a lake and can be pretty challenging. Hole 3 is an island shot containing a do or die tee shot. This hole and many others bring a exellent challenge to this course. The tee pads have been replaced from rubber to perfect concrete pads. The tee signs are very accurate and are in great condition. Probably one of the hardest courses in the state. You will have to take a variety of different shots on this one. Also, there is plenty of parking.
Cons: There is literally no elevation change. I really wish there was a elevated basket or something like that to add a even better challenge. This course is really muddy after rain. If it rains enough, it can become entirely flooded. The last two holes are probably the worst designed holes ive ever played. Hole 17 is straight into the wind for 750 feet and Hole 18 is 1100 feet into the wind. Both of these are wide open and are worthless unless you can throw a 400 foot bomb. Sometimes, pedestrians walking the trail can be in the way.
Other Thoughts: This course is really fun in the winter time when all of the knee high grass on the wooded holes is gone and when there are no bugs whatsoever. It is really a fun play. You should for shure come and play it if you are anywhere close to this course.

Fun, wet and challenging!
Pros: -Great design! This course has a really good variety of holes with left and right dog legs, and long and short holes. It has lots of trees and a fair amount of open holes too. There are several holes with water hazards that make it so much fun to play.
-Good maintenance. The greens were mowed, not any graffiti or trash on the course that I noticed
-Beautiful location. This course is very nice to look at with all the water holes and it
s located in a nice, clean park with friendly people around.
-good baskets, tees, signs, and bag holders on almost EVERY hole.
-Easy to navigate, especially with the signs pointing out the location of the next tees.
-The course is challenging in a good way, but it's still fun enough for beginners to enjoy.

Cons: -It's flat. Although I think the design was fantastic, there was not much elevation change.
-No benches or trash cans at any of the tees.
-The last 2 holes are VERY long and will probably be considered boring or too challenging for a lot of players
-There are a lot of pedestrians around and the pathways are sometimes too close to the fairways which can be dangerous or awkward.

Other Thoughts: This course is just so much fun and enjoyable to play. I am really looking forward to playing it again. Benches and trash cans would make it really nice.

A Very Nice, Challenging Course
Pros: This course is located in Northwest Arkansas around Lake Bella Vista. Several holes bring the lake into play. Water hazards are used very effectively. Two holes play on a small peninsula in the lake. There's enough water to give you some risk/reward, but you never have to drive more than 200 ft. to get over it. Beginners can play it safe, or just play from the am tee pads. The course provides a very drastic variety of holes. There's the 1100 ft open shot, and the 250 ft wooded shot. And then, there's everything in between. Some holes will require a long, accurate drive, and then a good upshot to save par. Very challenging to the Int. and Adv. groups. Rec. players will have a really difficult time playing here. Tee signs are very informative, providing the hole distance, line, and next tee pad. Bag holders are next to every tee on the course.
Cons: It can get very muddy, and even flooded here after a big rain. Even in dry periods, some fairways have standing water. Walking paths are along several holes, not causing any safety issues if you can keep on the fairway, but a stray drive could get someone hurt. Many of the tee pads are just rocks put down. It can be difficult teeing off from some. Navigation can be difficult if you don't notice the next tee locations on the signs. Holes 17 and 18 are very long, and boring. Which adds a certain dimension to the course, but really is just making you throw as you walk back to the parking lot.
Other Thoughts: It's a 45 minute drive to here from where I live, and it's definitely worth every minute of it. It's a great course to come and be challenged. And when you shoot well here, you really feel as if you accomplished something great. If you're ever in the NW Arkansas area, this is a must play.

Pros: Beautiful course with some really nice and challenging holes. Whether you like water or not, it really adds an extra challenge to the course. My favourite holes were #2, #3 and especially the beautiful and well designed par 4 hole #5 along the side of the lake. Nice and descriptive tee signs with a little map on each sign.
Cons: Too many of the wooded holes are just too narrow and curvy to give you a fair challenge. The rubber tees were in rather bad shape and sometimes your foot would get stuck when trying to rotate on it. Would need some more elevation changes.
Other Thoughts: This course has the potential to be a top quality course but would need better tees and some improvements on some of the wooded holes which in my opinion are more luck based than skill based.

Pros: A very challenging course in gorgeous Bella Vista. Right off the highway, easy to find. Great hooks for the bags so things don't get muddy. Shots vary from short to long, straight to dogleg, hyzer, and everything in between. Bring your skills to this place, because it will push you!
Cons: Because it is next to a small lake, it has mud conditions, stagnant water, insects, and droppings from ducks and geese. Keep your children away from the water, as the drop offs are VERY deep.
Other Thoughts: I lost a Star Destroyer on 5 and fell in completely after trying to retrieve it. In short, look at the layout and use the am tees if you think your shot will hit water. Even with this in mind, I would still play again so I could get my hyzer shot correct on hole 5..this time I would use a beast or something that would correct my shot.

Pros: Hooks for your disc bag, descriptive course maps at each tee.
Cons: Lots of hazards, including stagnant water, trees, spiders, etc. There are LOTS of spiders and spider webs in the woods... in fact, this course has the most I've ever encountered in the Ozarks, and that's where I grew up. Indeed, this was the ickiest, smelliest course I've ever played on. I'm a little better than a total beginner, and I had all kinds of issues at this course. The people in front of me lost a disc. I almost lost a disc, and I'm fairly sure I ate a lot of bugs. Some of the shots make it impossible for a beginner to not lose a disc.
Other Thoughts: If you come here and you're anything but an expert, do not use your good discs because you're apt to lose one here. Bring bug spray as well, because this area is very buggy. This is honestly the only time I've ever had a bad time playing disc golf.

Pros: Great lay out, fun holes, easy to fallow, easy to get to, amateur tee's where unsure players don't have to throw over water, and well maintained!
Cons: Can be wet and muddy. Local wild life will leave "Presents" near water holes.
Other Thoughts: This is a well thought out, well maintained fun course. There are a few water shots that will really make you think about using the amateur tee if you don't fully feel comfortable throwing longs ways over the water. But it gives you the option. In the summer months it will be more dry, but when its wet out, bring some boots! You will need them. Playing by your self could be more difficult do to some long grass in the fields.
I really enjoyed the course, and will go back many times when visiting the area, I think the more you play it the more you will end up liking it. The locals seem really nice as well. Hole 17 and 18 are long long long ones, so be prepared. hole 2,3,4,5 and 8 are water shots, you may want a floating disc or use the amateur tee if you are a little or really unsure of your throws, when i was there the person in front of me lost 4 discs that day... :(, Lucky my 2 that landed in the water I was able to reach. The water is not really inviting, so don't bring your swim trunks and expect to just jump right in after your disc, its murky! Also in the deeper water the banks slope at a hard angle, so if your disc does go in the water, go after it fast or it will slide deeper out of sight!

Pros: Great design. Easy to follow. Fun water holes. The holes are well Maintained. Over all the course is a great place to come practice and get better because you will come out a better player. One of the best course in northwest arkansas. It is a must play for any level player.
Cons: Stays flooded for a long time after rains. You will need to bring a floating disc if you let the water shot get to you. Parking can be an issue sometimes.
Other Thoughts: A Innova Dragon works good and it is chep.

Pros: Didn't want the game to end. Bring your bag, you'll need every shot you've got for this course. Everything from a sharp 200 ft. anhyzer to a 400 foot tight hyzer to a 1100 ft. open par 5. Great challenge, excellent scenery. Course plays along a lake, and a lot of holes bring the water into play. There is an island hole, and at least two or three other holes that you have to throw over water. There are at least three true par 4's, that are a lot of fun. Signs are some of the best I've seen, (check picture) including distance, route, and directions to the next hole. It is a huge course ending with the last two holes a par 4 and 5. Has a post on each hole to hang your bag.. nice touch.
Cons: Rubber tees are less than ideal, and it was really muddy. Today was below freezing, so a lot of the mud was crusty, but I still slid a lot. Hole 14 is a joke, throwing 250 feet or so, turning around and throwing back at the hole another 150. It was difficult to even find the basket. It seems like a couple of the last holes (16 or 17 and 18 are just thrown in there to get you back to the parking lot.) I know this is unavoidable because of the layout, but they are just wide open in a field, par 4 and 5.
Other Thoughts: This course is a must play. Extremely clean, well maintained, and well thought out.
