Pros: -this is a review of the blue course
-very well maintained course: great grass and quite a few trash cans, plus a nice bathroom
-natural grass "tees" were awesome, they allowed for infinite run ups, good footing and they were easy on the legs
-the course itself was very unique. The sheer amount of OB on the course made you make a safe or risky decision and then execute the shot well.
-the course had decent length and decent length variety with some holes under 300' and some over 600'.
-Although the course lacked rooted obstacles (ie trees) overall, the trees that are present are utilized to the full potential. On hole 12, a mando was set up between the two evergreens. Hole 15 was a semi tight wooded shot that play to an elevated green.
Cons: -Tees aren't permanent which is a con but also a pro as they can be change on a whim.
-Navigation could get pretty hairy. We played with ERicJ and Neal, so it wasn't a big deal.
-No teesigns
-Course was primarily flat and open, some more trees would have made the experience more like dg and less like bolf.
-The tourney OB was a bit confusing with concrete and over sometimes ob and sometimes not.
Other Thoughts: You'll definitely want to print a map up before heading out here, along with hole distances. Better yet get ahold of one of the guides and have them show you around as it's less frustrating than searching for tees and baskets. Overall I really enjoyed this course, semi challenging and risky, but nothing ridiculous. Plus it was a lot of fun.

Pros: Immaculately maintained grass. The ONLY course in the area suitable for long roller shots other than the Spring Valley Power 9. I saw no litter at all on the entire 18 holes.
Cons: Teeboxes are not well marked. It is essential that you print up a course map for reference if you have never played this course. Bring some spare discs because you will probably lose a few in the drinks, especially on a windy day.
Other Thoughts: This seemed to be a pro's course with shot placement being key to a good round. Long holes, lots of water, lots of wind! If the course only had better signage I would up my rating to at least a 4. Beautiful course! Kudos Neal Dambra.

Pros: Exciting holes. I can't say that enough. The open go big layout is a definition of risk/reward. Very challenging, mainly to keep the circles of your score and discs in your bag. This is no longer a pay to play course. This is an excellent course for tournament play, because there is a big need to go for the shot over the water or not pitch up, so scores can swing a lot in a round. There are birdies available...
Cons: although devastating multiple circles are easily available as well.Teeboxes are just markers, no longer have golf carts for rent. Lost discs aren't cool, even if you know going into the round that you're going to loose some. Not fun to risk that many lost discs on a casual round. The last four holes aren't quite as "cool" as the rest of the course. 18 is a shorter, safe hole, with only some road o.b. After the epic holes before it, it just seems to end on a throw away.
Other Thoughts: Of the three courses at Quail Valley this was my second favorite. I wish the King Quail would have been the one to stick around.
