Pros: Nice concrete tee pads throughout. All baskets in good condition except for # 1 which was standing but with basket on the ground. A couple of the tee signs were down or missing, but the course was relatively easy to follow. Finding my way into the park might have been a problem if I wasn't playing with a local Disc Golfer (thanks Dale). Good variety of holes with great usage of available terrain. Seemed to me to be some fairly long drives involved.
Cons: I can see this park being used a lot more in better weather, which might make play difficult. Lots of mud, even though the ponds were showing low water lines. Very challenging for a first timer and even for a steady player.
Other Thoughts: This course is very deceptive. Looks like a nice easy par happy little 9 hole by the side of the road, but not so! This course kicked my butt, (only one par all night) ate two of my discs (hole # 5, and hole # 7), and almost ate another on # 7. I would play it again - hopefully with some idea of the course, I could drop a few strokes. Bring some beat up discs to throw over the water. # 5 to me is the signature hole on this course, thrrowing over the pond to a "peninsula". Overthrow, underthrow or go left, and your disc is lost. # 6 is pretty cool also, going over the pond and then over another little pond (or marsh) on the far side. If you're looking for a challenging 9 hole - this is it

Pros: Lots of excellent and challenging shot options with a very nice layout for a 9 hole course. Good course to play if you don't have a whole afternoon to devote to playing.
Cons: Longer tee pads and no other tee box options. The park is a little difficult to find if you do not know the area real well. The park is also busy with runners and dogs are nice days.
Other Thoughts: The city just approved a pedestrian bridge to be built on Taft/117 to provide better access to the park.
Tee signs are down on most holes.

Pros: Course is a great challenge for being a 9 hole course. A great variety of shots that will keep you on your toes the entire time you play. Well kept and beautiful park. Nice signs and small pads. Some of the most unique and amazing shots I have seen.
Cons: Theres a large chance that you will lose a disc when you play this course. Your throwing at or around creeks or ponds on every hole except for 8 and 9.
Other Thoughts: BRING A FLOATING DISC. You will play some very challenging holes including ones that have you throw over 2 ponds and onto an island in the pond. Be prepared to lose a disc as well if you throw it into the creek. An amazing course that will require patience and skill.
