Pros: > permanent baskets and well maintained fairways
> signage and layout of course allows for easy navigation
> a great place to bring kids and/or folks that are new to the game
Cons: > this is a very short course - I mention that as a con because I played here in a tournament. That said I was expecting more than a slew of holes less than 200'
Other Thoughts: This may be a good place to practice approach shots and such but its not a "destination" course. For anyone other than locals this course is good (read: very average) but isn't worth a trip out of the way, in my opinion.

Pros: Very well laid out
Beginner friendly
Away from other things in the park
Cons: Signage could use some updating/replacing
I can't remember which hole it was, but there was a ton of broken glass on one hole.
Other Thoughts: I had only played one round when I came here...I've played this course more than any other in the area....So far it has been my favorite course to play.

A Fun Saturday Leisure Round

Pros: Fun course, secluded from other activity and with a good layout thru the property. It was a really fun (2) rounds played with friends at this here. This course is well kept and easy to navigate. Lots of Deuces to be had here. Worth making a stop to play.
Cons: Some older tee signs are harder to make out the hole details. So it pretty much meant taking a peak around ther corner or taking a few steps forward to gage the required flight paths, distance etc. but by no means a major henderence.
Other Thoughts: Mostly short holes but a few offer some challenge(especially with a drop off to deep water close behind a few of the targets) I recommend making a leisure round of DG at this course. Only about a 35 minute drive for me so... I'll be back again for anopther fun round.

Pros: First and almost foremost...land is for one thing only - throwing plastic at metal! No hikers, walkers, bikers etc. Just folks throwing them crazy frisbee's. It's also a pretty course, nicely shaded with a disc eating creek coming into play.

Though slightly technical, the holes are short so a beginner - when not bouncing off trees - can reach the basket after a few decent shots.

Not really a big-arm course, lots of short uphill/short down hill throws. Now, hole 3,4 & 10 let you rear back and crank it hard, two uphill/one downhill.
Cons: Only one really, and that the very silly first hole. I mean, c'mon, I can throw my mini almost to the basket! I say back it up across the road and make it a real throw! We all like ace runs, but this is crazy.

Pros: Course is in the back of the park and separated from other park users. Everything is perfectly maintained, and well kept. Grass is mowed, benches and trash cans are matching wood, and the course has a nice, clean look and feel to it.

18 tees with well kept pads. Mostly sand/gravel tees, but thee is a couple concrete pads mixed in. They all work fine.

Decent variety as far as shots go. There are some up hills and some down hills. There are some wooded holes and some open holes. Mostly plays in the woods, but with a few open holes to change the look and feel.

Could be considered beginner friendly as about 1/2 the holes are around 200' or under. There are also a few wide open holes that would allow a newer player some freedom to make mistake without punishment.

Signs give decent indication of hole layout and description. Not fancy or modern, but they fit in with this course well, and give all the important information.
Cons: There is a 118', 143', 180',141', 187' and a 173' hole. Too many overly short holes for almost anybody, but a beginner. The 118' is almost a putt.

Not really any memorable or signature holes. There is some decent disc golf holes here, but nothing to get overly excited about.

No long distance holes for people that want to throw drivers. #3 is 402' downhill and #11 is 322', but those are the only holes that really give you any driving freedom.

About 1/2 the holes require a pretty straight shot. Not a bunch of technical shots.
Other Thoughts: While my impression is that this course was designed for beginners, and to get more people involved in disc golf there are all a few holes here that could really frustrate a beginner. The creek plays to the left of several holes, and would give a new player (RHBH) with a classic big spike hyzer fits. There is also a fairly low ceiling on a some of the fairways adding a little more challenge for someone just learning the game.

This is a decent little course, and definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. It mostly plays as a beginner course, but there are a few spots where it can even challenge the average player.

If you live in the area and are learning the game this course would be a great place to start, or to bring someone new to the game.

Pros: Great course to get your confidence back up. Great mix of holes. Def loved the first hole one of the easiest aces I have gotten only 118 feet. Course had fairways nicely groomed. Great risk/reward on many holes. Also even a small waterfall or two that was pretty cool. Some benches also
Cons: Only really con to me was some of the wood signs were hard to make out which caused a lot of basket scouting.
Other Thoughts: Fun course a lot of ace and birdie chances

Pros: Clean park setting. The course is set off away from the main park so disc golfers is all you see. Easily navigated even without a map. Never once did I feel Like I didnt know where to go next. All shots are included: Long & short, tightly wooded & wide open. Open to wooded shots & visa-versa. Elevation changes from hole to hole. Tee pads are large size with packed sand base. The edges are low so you can run up on them. The tee signs are unique wood design. All info is listed including hole number, Par, Length & a basic picture of the disc flight path. On the open grass holes the lawn is cut to two different lengths like a (ball) golf course with 'fairways' & 'rough' at the edges. Just enough benches to make the round enjoyable. There is a creek that comes into play on some holes. They have a practice basket in the large flat (open) field near the parking lot. New Innova DisCatchers. Lots of birdy/ace holes.
Cons: No course Map. Leaf cover in winter makes losing a disc easy. Loose gravel on some tee pads made run up slippery. Some pads are concrete. I wish they all were!
Other Thoughts: #1 starts you off with an Aceable shot & it keeps getting better as you go! I was suprised at the lack of people. I saw maybe 2 people the whole time I was out there. I would've loved to throw a round with some locals. Favorite hole? #3 & #8. The course is right outside of downtown Walhalla so food, drink & lodging was readily available.

Pros: This is a great beginners course and i really like playing it. I thought the holes were a good combination of open and tight, long and short. This course really helped my confidence and improved my game by allowing me to make some birdies. I also thought the scenary was AWESOME anytime I play on a course surrounded by mountains i find myself just looking around.
Cons: I did not like the gravel tee pads!! I busted my tail on hole #2 and threw my disc in the woods. I got up and i asked my wife where my disc went and she didn't know cause she was watching me fall. I also love and hate the hole with the creek directly to the left, at the time every backhand shot i was throwing was turning left like a nascar driver and i ended up in the creek. I took my shoes off and got my disc and another disc that i returned to a fellow player.
Other Thoughts: I enjoyed the simplicity and ease of this course. I had been playing other courses that were very nice but a little over my skill level. This course was just what i needed at the time.

Pros: Great variety of hole types and terrain. You get ups and downs, open fields, shots that go from open to woods, woods to open, completely wooded shots, annys, hyzers and maybe even a roller or two if you got the sack. The easy to get to pads are all concrete. Ability to shape lines is a must, if this was your home course you would not be a bomber but your accuracy and upshot game would probably be unbeatable.
Cons: Sand teepads take a little pre work before you can feel comfortable throwing. I imagine on a normal day this wouldn't be an issue, but during the tournament there was a lot of traffic obviously.
Signs could use a re-do but most holes were pretty self explainatory.
Other Thoughts: This course screams fun. This is evidenced by hole one basically being a long putt and the kind of hole where if you don't deuce you just want to hang it up for the day. The field holes are very nice with mowed fairways and large concrete pads. I really enjoyed this course, it may not be long, it may not be particularly hard (but if you go offline...look out!) but man is it FUN. If you leave with a scowl just go ahead and jump in the creek and drown yourself because there is no joy in your life.
