Pros: Simple course with nicely integrated tree obstacles. Additionally, the area is well maintained and clean. The course was also very easy to follow.
Other Thoughts: The course was simply average. Nothing too memorable about it.

Pros: Very nice setting with lake in view during most holes.
Cons: Has a miniature golf feel to it, although that's not really such a bad thing. Boat ramp access road is plunked down right in the middle.
Other Thoughts: Layout is such that you stay in a more general area than Lakewood South. A kinder, gentler course than its sister one, excellent beginner's course.

Pros: Course is in well taken care of park. Good signage. Excellent place for beginners to learn the game. Multiple tees, some of which are lateral to the other tee as opposed to short and long allow for a round of 18 without heading over to the course on the opposite side of the park. (Of course you'll want to). Cool island hole placement in the middle of a cul-de-sac on #7.
Cons: A number of the holes are WAY too close to parking areas (including the island pin). There are a number of spots where you could very easily hit a parked car, a moving car along the park road or busy street to the north. Hole #5 is especially dangerous. Due to this, the course may not be fully playable when a lot of non-DG'ers are using the park.
Other Thoughts: Considerably easier than its sister course on the other side of the park. The North 9 still provides for a good opportunity to work on hitting precise lines around trees and working on your approach shots. If you're in Salina and have newbies or kids, this is the best place to introduce them to DG. Best on weekdays.
