Pros: New tee boxes and better hole maps make for a much less confusing game. (not every hole yet)
difference in the front 9 and back 9 make for a good practice course for everyone.
Cons: Very hard to play when ground is wet, due to dirt tee boxes and muddy holes.
Other Thoughts: Being a college student, I enjoy this course because it is close enough to campus that I can drive there quickly and it is far enough from the "city" I get a breath of fresh air.

In process of being expanded to 18

Pros: Course is in process of being upgraded to 18 holes. Temporary tee signs are up now as well as tee box spray painted in the grass. Appears as though concrete tees may be in the plans.
19th basket for practice.
Some holes have multiple placements.
Cons: It's in process, i.e. not done yet.
Hoping they will add concrete tees, signs, etc. Seems like they intend to.
Other Thoughts: Expecting to play 9 holes and found out it was increased to 18 - nice!
First 9 have mix of open shots and holes cut through new woods.
1 - tunnel shot, saw at least 2 placements.
2 - very tight tunnel shot
3 - great use of embankment
4 - open shot that needs to hit a hole. Reminded me of the bamboo wall for the USDGC.
5 - moderate trees with another opening that must be hit.
6 - tunnel shot
7 - short hole with a very protected green
8 - nice S-curve shot required to make par
9 - another hole that must be hit, this time closer to the tee
10-18 back into the original part of the park.
Moderately wooded that requires various shots, hyzer, anyhzer, long and straight, etc.
When completed, expect this to rise to a 3.5 course.
