Pros: -Some challenging up and down shots.
-Some challenging water shots too.
-A few interesting Pin Placements.
-A fun Do-It-Yourself feel to the PVC Baskets.
-Ample Parking and close to town.
-Not too many non-players to play around.
Cons: -The PVC baskets get old fast: the discs bounce out. -The park is mostly raw space. Mud-Dust-Bogs etc
There is a small grassy area in the middle and the 2 sides more closely resemble a construction site.
-There are too many wide open feature-less holes.
-More wind than view in this location.
Other Thoughts: I was surprised to hear that the course may have been around for about 8 years and the park about 11?
There really is not a lot of love here yet.
This could be a 3 star course some day but not yet.

Pros: Interesting variety on the course
Cons: No tee pads. Too much vegetation on some holes. Cops stole my beer.
Other Thoughts: I would give this course a higher rating except for holes 11 and 12 which are pretty much a guaranteed lost disc when allowed to overgrow the way they were when I last played, 9/11/10. Oh yeah, and the cops stole a case of beer from my car for no good reason at all.

There I was, having a perfectly nice day, taking photos to upload on this site and playing a casual round. Not a soul in sight. Miles from anywhere and here comes Ms. Buzzcut local fuzz out of nowhere. "Any more beer in the car? I am gonna have to confiscate that too." And she wasn't even old enough to drink it. Damn!

Pros: -First off its a beautiful park on the western slope of Colorado.
-The course has many holes that are great for big BOMBS.
-A few of the holes have great potential to be Aced, ive been close!
-Not a very difficult course.
-Outhouses through out the course.
-all holes are nice and open so very forgiving course for bad releases.
-The first 9 holes go by somewhat quick.
-Hole 1 is a short 200+ feet uphill but a big tree in you line of sight, so a great anny or hyzer is needed.
-hole 2 is across the top again only 150+ ft(ACE!)
-hole 3 is from the top of the hill back down to where the hole 1 tee box is.
-4 is back up the hill
-Hole 5 & 6 start to take you around the park, both holes well over 300+ ft. Awesome holes with lots! of clear room to just bomb it.
-7-8 & 9 start to mengle with the big outdoor stage for special events so man made obstacles will be there (fence, vans, work trucks).
-10 is a very short hole with some trees to the righ, bad for RHBH .
-11...is one of the most difficult if not the most difficult hole on this park. Its only about 190 ft/ The tee box has a nice 6foot wide gap bordered by tall trees on the right side and tall catails on the left. The basket sits in the middle of the cattails(which are sorrounded by water). I found the best way to play this hole is to anny over the water and have it come back towards the right of the basket on dry ground, then easy put in. Still, very difficult to drive with distance.
-12 is another skilled hole. About 300-320 ft, theres a lake to your left that can be avoided but will no forgive a bad release. Again the basket is sorrounded by water.
-13, my nemesis hole, lost 2 drivers to this hole.3 to the lake. Its a nice easy 280ft staright path with about a 50 ft left cut to the basket. Only problem is the huge lake to the left that is very easy to throw into. I lost an orc after throwing a nasty hyzer that came in about 50ft from the basket but hit a park bench on the turn and bounced into the lake.My wraith went in from a really bad release.
-14 takes you to the "non constructed" area of the park, lots of mud thats ussualy dry with some muddy spots. awesome hole for big arm players, just bomb it without worries a good 450+ft hole.
-15 same goes for this hole, nice long open drive. again mudd.
-16 another nice open hole eeasy drive.
-17 this is one of the tricky lake group holes. the basket sits on a hill which is sorrounded by dry and wet spots, you have to throw across a nice cattail section then hope you dont land in the lake to the right lol.
-18 is a nice hole. Across the big lake that likes to eat discs all day. the actual lake is only about 250 feet.If you clear it its another 100 feet to the basket which sits on a very nice green hill with some trees towards it.

All in all one of my favorites to play. The holes are great and may seem easy at first but not. You are sorrounded by beautiful mountains and its not a bad hike. If your traveling through stop and give it a go.
Cons: -Lots of mosquitos
-LOTS of water hazzards, in my opinion they are a bit annoying but are a great skill check,
-Lots of catails that are very difficult to find discs in.
-First week of August is the Olathe Sweet Corn Festival so their is tents everywere and construction trucks everywere.
-Really windy course.
- Hole 6 has houses to the right so a BIG hazzard.
- Lots of mud for the last of the back nine holes so bring a towel.
-A few of the Tee markers are missing,Hole 6,7,9 are missing the T boxes. Hole 14 is missing it too but the post hole is visible.
Other Thoughts: Overall great park and course, theres a nice playground and picnic area that dont get in the way of the DGcourse. Olathe is a very small town but there a subway right down the street and some good mexican restaurants to get lunch at.
