Pros:

Great practice course. Original layout is wide open and improves your short game. Some trees and rolling hills. Alternate course layout is much more challenging and throws through tree lines and increases course distance by more than double.

Update: 5/18/2014

Alternate Course Layout to make it 18 holes. Works great and extends the length of course to over 5000ft. Distances are from memory 4 years ago using a 300ft tape. Use a GPS if you want specifics.

Hole 10 = #1 Tee to #7 Pin +350ft
Hole 11 = #8 Tee to #1 Pin 300-320ft
Hole 12 = #2 Tee to #3 Pin 300-320ft
Hole 13 = #4 Tee to #2 Pin 410-420ft
Hole 14 = #3 Tee to #4 Pin 580ft
Hole 15 = #5 Tee to #6 Pin 420-450ft
Hole 16 = #7 Tee to #8 Pin +400ft
Hole 17 = #9 Tee to #5 Pin +400ft
Hole 18 = #6 Tee to #9 Pin +400ft

This alternate layout truly makes this course worthwhile and challenging. Averaging score of 44 on the regular layout for 18 holes, my score is dropped to average of 51-54. Except for #11, the trees are easily to find a line for any player. Enjoy this free course!

Cons:

Grass tees, on school grounds and can't play until after 5:30pm during weekdays if school is in. Summer it's an open course.

Other Thoughts:

It's nice for Tahlequah to finally have a course.
