Short and fun little course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 29, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

There is adequate signage and the course is very well maintained. It plays super quick and would be an excellent place to take a first timer or a good place to work on your midrange game. Many holes have Ace Run potential, and birdies are easily achieved. This course has enough trees to keep it interesting and there is a decent water threat on holes #6 and #7. It uses all the available land as best that can be done. #5 was the longest hole and #4's basket is literally behind a bush.
There are also restrooms by the tennis courts.

Cons:

I wasn't a big fan of holes 2-5, in the sense that you had a road either to the right, 2 & 5 or in front of the basket 3 & 4. Be careful before you throw. Also there are tennis courts on the left had side of hole #5 so pay attention. It would be nice if some of the holes where longer, but you can only use what is available to you sometimes.
If you go long on #7 you could lose a disc to the bus yard that is behind the basket. There is a sign posted that says security cameras in use, so I guess you enter at your own risk.

Other Thoughts:

This isn't a destination type of course, but if you were passing thru the area and you had the itch to throw this course will do. Again this is a great place to improve your midrange game, and a great place to introduce someone to the game. Since the course is so short you might find yourself wanting to play multiple rounds. I would have played it more than once if I wasn't in a hurry to get to the next course before we ran out of daylight for the day. It is a place where Aces are not out of the question and it was nice to see a course that was well taken care of. If you are in the area and you like to run those chains give this course a play.

Highland Park 2+ years drive by

Pros:

Easy to navigate.. Signs are well posted with all the hole info. Very short holes make for a good place to learn the game. Also, makes getting an Ace a real possibility. Especially on holes (1, 3, 7, 8 ). The park is very well maintained and not very busy.

Cons:

Tee boxes are a little inconsistent, not all level and none are regulation size. Which can make it difficult to get a good throw on some, holes ( 2, 4 and 7). What is a pro is also a con. Course is very short. With most holes between 180' and 250' feet.

Other Thoughts:

With the hole length as a pro and a con, I am able to say that placement of the baskets is well thought out. There is most often one or two trees to navigate through and several bushes. Very fun course for new comers to the sport.
