Close to home; A place to play
5 Helpful / 1 Not
Pros: -Constant improvements are done to this course.
-Some big drives as well as skill shots.
-It is close for many players and good course for beginners.
-Good course if you like to roll your discs.
Cons: Not many cons nowadays
-Lots of groundhog holes but course maintainers have filled most and made other holes visible.
Other Thoughts: Recently talked to new course planner and was told they acquired the patch of woods behind the soccer fields for an additional 9 holes. Every week when I go more is being done to improve this course.

Good 9 hole
Pros: This is a very well maintained 9 hole course. Each hole has two different tee locations so it can be made into 18 holes easily.
It has a good use of open fields and dense woods
Cons: Gopher holes.
The listed Pars seem high to me.
Other Thoughts: Being the closest course to my house I have played this many many times and it is better than any other town park 9 hole course I have seen.
The raised gravel tee pads add an interesting change.

Pros: Great signage, well maintained, beginner friendly.
Cons: Not closer to my home... no elevation changes.
Other Thoughts: Some may consider this course too simple (9-holes, double tees, 71 par) but I found it quite enjoyable with enough challenges to be intriguing. Several narrow fairways, hard dog-legs, low hanging branches, short trees force any player to think about their shot selection. Experienced players should be able to achieve scores well below par.

Fun Little Course
Pros: Good use of the available fauna and open areas. Some tough shots around obstacles. Nice to finally have course in Mercer County park. Two tee pads for each basket, (once they are finished)
Cons: Short course. Only nine baskets. Not really manicured. The park could easily contain a much larger 18 basket course. No signage yet in the park.
Other Thoughts: Park in P1 for fields 3-9. Off to the right (towards power lines) is hole 3 going into the woods.

A nice local course
Pros: Course is nice and big. It has some fairly difficult throws with lots of obstacles to challenge the more advanced players.
EDIT: They have installed tee pads, signage and garbage pails for every hole. The alternate tee locations provide for an entirely different experience. If you want to challenge yourself, make the B pins all par 3's. In the summer the foliage makes the course a much tougher play, with limbs reaching out and forcing you to make good shots. The parking lot has finally been designated, so feel free to drive up onto the grass and park closer to the course.
Cons: The raised tee pads are about 2 feet to short for my liking, making the windup for a long shot a little more difficult. Giant gopher holes are hidden all over the park. Be careful or you could wreck a knee/ankle.
Other Thoughts: It looks as though the park has a boatload of room. It would be excellent if there was an addition to make this a true 18 hole experience.

A good 9 holer
Pros: Good use of wooded areas and open spaces.
Finally we have a course in Mercer County.
Course now has signs.
Cons: Poor course design, plays like NASCAR, nothing but left handed turns.
Whomever desided the course put the tee pads in horrible locations. Some of the B tees are way too short.
Hole 2 needs to be hole 1, why should I have to walk all the way down the path when Hole 1 ends at the parking lot and hole 2 starts at the parking lot?
Other Thoughts: Would be nice to have another 9 holes on this course
Play hole 2 first and end on one, until the pins numbers are switched.
