Not so good

Pros: - Great concrete tee pads are very grippy and in good shape
- Very descriptive tee signs
- Brand new Discatcher pro baskets!
- Convienient location right off the freeway
- Good mix of distances on the course
- Good mix of holes from sraight ahead to hilly to doglegs.
- Challenging course!
- Practice baskets!
- Easy navigation from hole to hole and good flow to the course
- Water hazards make hole 8 difficult
- Tons of parking available and this course is a quick play
Cons: - The number 1 con that makes this course a real downer is the awful grounds it is on. The rough is anywhere from waist high to chest high EVERYWHERE! Even the fairways are knee deep in some spots. We found ourself underthrowing just so we could stay in the fairway and wouldnt lose a disc in the rough. Beginners would most likely lose a few discs. I'm not trying to be a negative nancy but it is just really bad. We were able to make it out without losing a disc but we did have to search for them for about 15 minutes throughout the course. If the grounds were more cared for and werent so extremley tall everywhere, this course would be a 3.5/5 in my opinion.
Other Thoughts: All in all, its a real downer that one con can make a great course one of the worst. That being said, it is a great technical course with challenging shots and if you put aside the grounds, it can be sort of fun. Its just not really worth the time to hunt down your discs with such better courses in the area.

Accuracy is key to avoid the thick rough

Pros: This course has good signage and ample tee pads. The flow is logical and the basket are new and catch well.
The fairways are well mowed as was the areas around the tee pads.
The is one hole that has a pond on it to provide you with the threat of a water hazard.
A few of the holes are very Aceable and a couple of the holes have decent length.
Here are my hole observations:
1-pretty straight, with a well defined fairway. Has thick rough on both sides of the fairway.
2-doglegs to the right
4-longest hole on the course and has an elevated tee box
5-straight shot, throw your disc down the gravel/dirt road and you should be safe.
6-short, has trees and tall rough on the right.
7-tunnel shot that dog legs to the right. This is the best hole here, in my opinion.
8-has heavy trees on the right side of the tee and a pond on the left.
9-very similar to hole 5 with a well defined fairway and tall grass on either side of the fairway.
Cons: The rough here is brutal. As other reviewers have said it very thick and high as well. Finding your disc if you go into the rough can be an adventure all of its own.
Wind will factor in with over half of the holes being out in the open. This most definitely will add to the challenge of keeping your disc in the narrow fairway.
There are no amenities here.
This isn't a beginner friendly course and I could see beginners losing plastic here very easily and giving up on this course.
It seems like over half of the course is the same style of hole, narrow fairway with heavy rough on either side and the basket out in the open. This does get redundant after a while.
Other Thoughts: Obviously staying in the fairways is going to be key on this course. Personally I would have liked to see more holes like 2 and 7 where some shot shaping needed to be done in order to score well.
Players that want a course with more length won't be overly excited with this course nor will a player looking for a technical challenge.
Recreational players would most likely enjoy Neinhus park better because the threat of losing their disc is going to be lower there.
If you are a player that enjoys a course with thick punishing rough that is going to make you work on your control then this course will suit your needs. If you are looking for more of a park style setting then you would be best to pass this one by.
Overall its not a bad course, it just needs a little more variety and the rough needs a little taming.

Not Worth My Time

Pros: Excellent signs, baskets, and concrete pads.
Plenty of parking.
Very nice view of NSU.
Cons: This course is basically a pitch and putt, even though the distance is a little longer than your typical p-n-p. Almost every pin is just straight ahead of the pad. Not much variety or challenge.
The huge drawback to this course is the waist to chest high grass. Each hole has a 15' fairway surrounded by the very high grass. Discs are hard to find even 5' off the fairway. Its just not worth the time.
Other Thoughts: Not a completely worthless course, just too much trouble to hunt discs.

Worth a stop if you're nearby
Pros: Nice Tee Pad's and Baskets, excellent hole signs with directions to the next hole and what appear to be fairly accurate distances. The course is a slight challenge without being too difficult for beginners. Slight terrain changes during holes, both up and down and some tall grass off the fairway punishes inaccurate shots. Some wooding is used as a tunnel to direct shots. Views are picturesque at times and friendly wildlife is present. Two practice baskets (spaced about 150' apart) in the front are in an open field and are an excellent addition to any course.
Cons: Length is more on the beginner side, 4-5 holes are under 300' and the longest hole, marked about 450', plays downhill. Most shots are straight at the basket with little or no obstacles besides two turnover holes (RHBH) that are wooded to force your shot.
Other Thoughts: Overall, this is a good 9 hole course for beginners and intermediate players, but advanced players will become bored quickly. The course makes good use of the land present, seems well maintained and is easy to follow once you begin. If you're in the area or need a break between classes, this is a great course to for a quick round, some putting/approach practice, or to introduce new players to the game.
