Pros: Beautiful course with the front 9 holes in the heart of the woods. Holes were very well thought out and I always have a blast playing the first half of the course. Course gives you plenty of opportunity for a wide arrange of shots to throw. I've never known anyone to come here and say they hated it. You won't regret giving it a shot!
Cons: The back 9 is pretty much all straight shots. If you can't throw a disc nice and straight you may not enjoy the rest of the course. I personally enjoy the front 9 much more than the back 9 but it's still a beautiful course. If you have young kids it is quite exhausting to push a stroller through but it is possible. I've done it several times. Very easy to lose disc on this course especially in the summer months. They dont like to fall from the trees so you're better off shaking tree's hoping it will randomly fall out of one.
Other Thoughts: Great course overall. It's not at all easy and I think a lot of people love it for that. It's not my favorite course to play in the Peoria, IL area but it is worth the drive. You'll have fun if you don't mind some exercise. It is VERY hilly.

Pros: This course has a nice fairly easy to navigate layout. Offers great scenery with a mix of technical wooded shots, wide open bomb shots, water that comes into play sometimes with errorant shots, and some elevation changes. The tee pads are nice with good signs for distance. Didn't use the alternative tees, but some were shorter than the normal tees, but at least they were all concrete pads.
Cons: This is no beginner course. If you play a couple rounds I'm sure the holes would be easy to find, but for a first timer some were hard to find and had to walk most of the fairway to see. Going between holes on a few (especially 10->11 and 12->13) was difficult. Some signs would be nice. I didn't see any alternative pin locations, but there is defaintly room for it which could add plenty of replay value.
Other Thoughts: Overall I enjoyed the course and would defaintly play again when I'm in the area. I would recomend it to anyone that live or passes near by. Be careful once you get off track into the woods it sometimes hard to get back on track and your better off just laying up into the fairway. Would love to get anther few throws on 18, that hole is a beast!

Pros: -McNaughton Park has a section of the park that's used exclusively for disc golf, and it's fantastic!
-Even though some of the holes fairways are very close to each other, each and every hole has it's own little secluded feeling.
-It's very challenging. I had a very hard time landing on the fairway on several of the holes. There's a great mix of shots here, whether it's uphill/downhill, wooded/open, hyzer/anhyzer, this park has it all!
-Very easy to find, fairly clean, scenic, and best of all, free!
-Although we could hear people on the course yelling or swearing or cheering, we never actually saw anyone because of the foresty terrain. It was really nice.
Cons: -The tees really, really, really need maps. Playing for the first time, I had no idea where I was going and had to follow the group in front of me. Some of the yellow arrows on the DGA baskets were pointing the wrong way and it really threw me off.
-#17 and #18 are, in my opinion, useless. You have to cross the road, then cross over 18's fairway, and then walk another 400 feet to get to 17's tee. And then you have to go uphill to get to 18 and then you go back downhill and then back uphill to get to your car. I just skipped the last two because they just didn't seem worth it to me.
Other Thoughts: While I don't think that this the best course in IL, I think it's definitely in the top 10. This course, as I said, did a fantastic job of challenging me with many different shots. Some of the fairways were 10-15 wide so it's very difficult to have solid drives on many of the holes. Good luck!
