Great local course
Pros: Great variety, well maintained, lots of park surrounding course, throwing pads for both white, and red tees are great.
Cons: Needs just a few more garbage cans along the way to help keep it clean. Would also be nice to get some signs for the red tees so you can better judge your distance on those holes as well.
Other Thoughts: This is a really fun course, great location just outside the city, and very close to a military base. I really enjoy this course as it has both the holes that allow you to really see how far you can throw it, but also has some nice skill requiring holes to follow that up. Some great nature trails, and very often some deer walking the park with you. Great fun, challenging course.

Exceded my Expectations
Pros: -Great park close to town
-Multiple tee pads
-Multiple tee locations
-Some long holes
-tough lines to hit but high risk with high reward
-Easy to navigate
-requires accuracy and ability to hit tight spots at a distance.
-Big tee pads
-Good course for beginners
-Great course for seasoned players
Cons: I didn't have any unless I just wanted to be picky.
It's simply a great course.
Other Thoughts: I've played 40 courses now in about 8 different states and this is one of my favorites.

I like it
Pros: Great mix of wooded and open. Very easy to navigate around. Multiple tee pads on every hole.
Cons: Not a lot of sloping, a lot of holes are similar distances, not a whole lot of challenge.
Other Thoughts: This course is great for beginners, you won't lose discs, you can play multiple rounds in a timely fashion.

Pros: Long shots and technical shots. The first three holes on the front nine will lull you into a false sense of confidence, be ready to dial it back when you get in the woods. On hole three if you don't make it through the gate you will have to work for your second shot. With the fence gone back nine is wide open. If you need a confidence builder play the back nine first. If you are over sixty you do not need to pay to play.
Cons: The park gets a lot of use with special events. They shut the course down two or three times a year. It is best to call ahead on the weekends. As with any course in the Tide Water area you need bug spray in the spring and summer. You have to drive all the way to the camp site check in on the other side of the lake to sign in.
Other Thoughts: They have a great tourmanent in November. Check web site for dates.Very well managed. If you want to take the step up in to competion this is a good place to start.

Pros: This is a very enjoyable course. Perfect course for a beginner in my opinion. The wooded sections are fairly difficult, and force you to actually make some pretty difficult decisions instead of just throwing and hoping for the best. The landscape is great, the moderate hills and creeks were awesome. There are wooden fences on some holes that play pretty interestingly, because you can't cut through low under the trees. Oh and they also look cool.
Aside from the course itself, the land is well maintained and the amenities are sweet. Some of the best graphics of the hole I've ever seen are displayed at the tee box of each hole.
Cons: The only negative thing I can really come up with is that it is a bit short, but that can easily become a pro if you happen to be in a rush and just want to get a round in.
Other Thoughts: Favorite Hole:
#7, Par 4
There is a tree right in front of the tee box that forces you to make a decision right off the bat, pretty cool.
#17, Par 5
First hole I ever eagled, so maybe a bit biased, but aside from that there is a nice creek running in the middle of this hole and it has a nice down then uphill to it.
This shorter course is a very nice complement course to the New Quarter course just down Interstate 64, which is very long.
