Pros: It's a hill so lots of elevation change and great for a hike. Some good wooded holes and some good field holes too. Just off the freeway so it's easy to get to while on a road-trip. Several holes with alt-pin locations.
Cons: Still some crossover on the fairways. Ankle-breakers galore in the areas that were cleared out for the redesign. Easy to lose discs in the long grass in the meadow and in the creekbed that's on the back nine. Dog owners sometimes go out into the meadow area to allow their dogs to run so there can be some crossover there as well. Not well marked so it can be easy to get lost on several holes.

Pros: I like this park. While not huge they have managed to put in a fun course with a variety of shots. They have done a good job building tee pads and have taken some of the confusion out of the course with the new basket placements. The park has other amenities so kids have place to play if not throwing and could do bbq or picnic in conjunction with round.
Cons: Remodel is off to a good start but still has a ways to go. My biggest reservation is that some of the holes, while better, are still very close to each other, especially at the bottom of the hill. The potential for being hit by a bad shot is higher than I like if the course is busy. Tee pads that are done are nice but there are still a couple rough ones. Maps are well stocked and makes course playable but there are still no signs on many of the tees. Couple of tees were hard to find from previous hole(on top of hill, 13 or 14) so 'next tee' signs would be nice. There were laminated arrows on some holes pointing to next tee. Grass is longer on meadow, not as bad as some courses I've played but still easy to lose track of disc. Baskets are hard to spot, especially ones in shade. Making hole numbers on top higher contrast(black on orange or yellow background) would help. There is a lack of garbage cans on course. There is only one long hole and it is downhill. Pros will need to look elsewhere for a serious challenge.
Other Thoughts: This is a nice local course and I am very glad to see the effort being put into the remodel but it is not a top tier course(yet?). It is well on the way to being one of the nicer area courses and I will happily update my review as the remodel continues as it is worth the 45 minute drive for me to play once or twice a month. Thanks for the work being put into the remodel, good to see a course being improved.
