Should really be two courses...

Pros: -Nice baskets, Discatchers. Catch well and are easy to see.
-Water hazards in the form of the creek (dry right now) and ponds/swamps on the back 9. They are appropriate for the level of play that this course should be aimed at.
-Full practice hole (hole 0) that I played after 9 on my way back to my car. You could just as easily play it before 1 as well.
-Pretty easy to navigate, the course isn't crammed in there too tight so you always know which basket you are throwing at.
-Holes 11-13 were solid golf. 11 was longer, had a few trees, and a fast green with an elevated pin. 12 had an elevated tee and shot over part of the pond with a basket placed somewhat close to water, probably the signature hole. 13 went straight over the pond at a manageable distance.
-Tees are concrete and are a little short but work well enough.
-There are walking paths but generally, this is a single use park for disc golf.
Cons: -The front 9 was not a lot of fun for me. It was fairly long and the creek could come into play but otherwise offered little in the way of challenges. It was mostly open and just wasn't really interesting. I was looking forward to the back 9 because I knew it had water.
-Tee signs don't tell you anything except hole number. They had the word "par" on them but no number, hole distance, map, etc. Many of them were facing the wrong way which could lead to confusion.
-A few holes on this course won't really be playable if it rains. They play over or very near drainage areas.
-Like I mentioned before, the tees are short and some of the holes require a pretty big drive. They are a tripping hazard.
-You could lose a disc here if you are not careful on many of the holes.
-Not a lot of parking at the start of either 9. No other facilities either.
-You have to drive to the second 9, hope this gets fixed soon.
Other Thoughts: -Hole 7's basket should be moved to the right about 20 feet to take advantage of that peninsula into the creek and make a much more fun risk/reward shot. Right now, on that hole, you only go in the water if you are not accurate.
-This really should be listed as two courses. There are plans in the works to make it possible to walk under the interstate but right now you have to drive 5-10 minutes to get to the other half. They are also very different courses. The first half has few trees or obstacles and would rate a 2 for me. The second half was more fun and might get a 3.5 (probably a 3).
-This course is fairly new and hopefully will gain some more trees for challenge and a way to connect the two halves. This course could definitely get better with work and time.

Pros: The back and front nine offer different challenges.
Well manicured and taken care of.
Great option if other courses are busy, rarely have had to wait.
Cons: The course is split by the highway but not that big of deal. The back nine can be a little challenging for beginners because of the combo of possible wind and water.
Other Thoughts: Would not recommend going under the highway until the walkway is complete.

Pros: New Cement Tee Pads are going in now! A great course for Ams and Pros. A fair amount of long and short positions for each hole. I personally love the back 9 on the East side. Elevation change, water, and lots of Out of Bounds. The trees will take a while to grow in, but over all I think this is a great course.
Cons: Some people don't like the back 9 because of all the water, but I say, "What's disc golf without hazards and obstacles?" They are still working on the under ground walk way connecting the 2 9's from the Highway. You still have to drive to the back 9.
Other Thoughts: Thanks to Kyle and his friends for proposing the course to the city. Thanks to Bill Wright (Wrightlife) for helping design it. Thanks to the city for approving it, paying for the course, and maintaining it.

Great Fun Stop of I-25

Pros: -Baskets are new, are in great shape and catch well
-The flow of the course makes it pretty easy to navigate and finding the next hole isn't too difficult
-There is a sign with a map of the layout on both the west and east sides of I-25, which makes navigation pretty easy.
-The course boasts a good variety of distance, with some shorter holes and some longer holes.
-Multiple pin-positions on some of the holes.
-The front nine plays along a creek, and has many baskets placed near the creek, which adds some good risk/reward and challenge to the course.
-The front nine has a lot of baskets guarded by clusters of trees
-While the back nine are a little more open than the front nine, they bring three ponds into play on many of the holes, that adds some variety to the course.
-There are a lot of baskets located on downhills or on the side of hills, which makes putting a little more fun and challenging.
-Due to the creek and ponds, this course has a good amount of water hazards.
-Since the course is out on the plains, the wind will definitely come into play on many of the holes.
-The area this course was in looked to be mainly dedicated to disc golf and you won't have to wait for other park users.
-The course was very uncrowded
-There is a practice tee-pad (labeled Hole 0) and practice basket at the start of the course.
Cons: -The tee-signs only give the hole number and par and need improvement.
-The tee-boxes are currently dirt, and a few of the tee-boxes are getting badly rutted. The tee-pads are also too short.
-There is a long walk between several of the holes (this is a bit of a pro, because this helps avoid boring filler holes).
-Parts of the creek and some spots on the back nine, will likely be pretty overgrown during some of the summer months.
-The biggest con is the drive between the two sides of the course since it is cut in half by 1-25. The drive between the two sides of the course is about 5 minutes and is a little annoying. It will be really nice when the city adds the path under I-25.
Other Thoughts: This a good course with the potential to be a great course. It is still pretty new and definitely still a little rough around the edges. With better tee-pads and improved tee-pads, this course would definitely get a 3.5 rating from me. It's not too far off I-25 and is definitely worth a stop if you are passing through.

Love the setup of the back nine, all of the ponds that some of the holes shoot over and around are a great touch.
Innova baskets :P
Cons: Having to drive to the back nine.
All natural tee pads.

A Great Addition
Pros: The course has great pin placement on several holes and what terrain is there is used well. The manicured areas were very nice and the water features really make it feel very schwanky:) There was a path that ran most of the way and the grass was cut pretty much everywhere. There are several benches and a portapottie at the parking lots for the front and back nine. We took a picture of master course plan located at the parking lots and easily found our way around. The front 9 is short with many great chances at an ace, opening up around the walk across the street. The tee boxes are dirt and of good size. The back nine will challenge most players with the water traps and the wind Wellington is known for. I would say it is a great course to play, laying somewhere between Edora and CLP.
Cons: Driving between the front 9 and back 9 would be the biggest draw back, which shouldn't stop anyone from playing there. Also there are no trash cans on the front 9. Otherwise this course is great for just about anyone to play. I would like to see multiple pin placements, as there are some great opportunities for this on several holes.
Other Thoughts: Great new addition to the Northern Colorado disc golf scene. It should help lighten the load at some of the other courses and I recommend playing it. The back 9 with water features was a very cool highlight and makes for an awesome backdrop for pictures and ambiance. It want very windy while I was there and no one else was there, I don't expect the crowds to stay away too long, it is well worth the time.
