Playing in a Open Field
Pros: If you've ever imagined a course placed in a large, open meadow, this is it. Most of the holes are straight drives to the basket with no obstructions or elevation difference. Holes 7 & 8 use elevation changes around a small drainage gully to add interest.
Signage is good and the baskets are in good shape as well, with the exception of a couple of broken chains. Teepads are simple rectangles where the sod has been removed.

Cons: No real variety on the course, with the exception of distance changes from hole-to-hole.
Other Thoughts: If you've played the heavily wooded Reservoir Hill course in Pagosa Springs, this one is the exact opposite. A great place to work on drives, but no opportunities for challenging approaches or shaping shots.
Other Thoughts: Only 2 interesting holes out of the 9, they use elevation and a dry creek. Not really any trees in play on this course. The holes do have a good mix of distances. This isn't the ideal spot for disc golf. Adding to the frustration, the course is set in an open valley in the San Juan Forests in a mountainous region. You get great views all around you of land with huge potential for a world class course. The area of holes 7 & 8 has some steep areas making them unplayable in snow or mud and makes it impossible to take a toddler or a stroller for a round here.
