Pros: -Free
-Good for beginners, thanks to generous pars, plentiful short holes, and similar style holes.
-Innova pins in good shape
-Unique use of topography/location, including railroad tracks, hills, and pine tree placement.
Cons: -Tee pads are TERRIBLE. Lumpy, short rubber pads nailed to the ground, and they have been moved numerous times.
-Signage is sporadic thanks to vandals and mother nature. Some holes are missing their signs altogether, while others are partially there. Granted, the fully intact signs are very informative and accurate.
-Trash cans are almost always full/overflowing at each hole.
-Mowers/landscapers could do a better job maintaining the course. it looks shabby most of the time.
-Hole 1, 2, 3, 11, and 12 are all water holes, just as a warning to any newer golfers out there. Hole 3 is typically waterlogged where you have to walk around quite a long distance to get from the tee to the hole if you do not want to get wet.
Other Thoughts: A good use of the location and space, but it could be improved and maintained much better, especially since it is on CMU's property and is a reflection on the university. Watch out for trains!

Pros: good course to work on you mid-range game, and work the kniks out of your game.
Cons: Wind.
Other Thoughts: Low traffic for being on campus, you can play a full 18 in under an hour. good for the start of the season if your not a winter DGer to work back into the season.

Pros: - Its close to campus.
- Its free.
- Great for a practice round if you want to work on drives and long approaches.
+There are a hand full of holes that I would like to play twice.
+ Its full of Ace-able holes.
Cons: - Its an open course, but I've seen several people lose discs there. The bush seems to eat discs away.
- The bug situation is bad. Bring Spray.
Other Thoughts: This course is decent, but you'll have a better time playing Deerfield Park.

Pros: .... ummm..... there was a lot of open space...
Cons: poorly marked everything... if you haven't visited find someone who is a regular because you will be looking around for the hole, the next tee, and where you are going.
Other Thoughts: it was the start of the summer season so most of the signs were missing, hopefully CMU will fix that.

Pros: - Easy to find
- Well groomed
- Good variety of lengths
- Blind tees on several holes, most notably the hill on #14
Cons: - Teepads are slick, hard to get good footing
- Little to no elevation changes
- Missing a few signs
Other Thoughts: The first word that comes to mind when describing this course is "bland." It's a great location and is obviously well taken care of but the land just isn't suited for a disc golf course. Most fairways, especially the last few, are wide open and don't really challenge intermediate players (take a look at the teebox photos here to see what I mean.) There is a nice looking lake on the course but the only time it really comes into play is the first couple of holes; I believe the course designer could have incorporated it more. The highlight of the course for me was hole #13. The pin is hidden in several trees and if you don't take the correct approach to it you'll wind up in a lot of trouble. This is a nice course to get a quick 18 in on if you're in the area but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way.
