Pros: -Great tee signs with detailed map on each hole, plus red and white tee posts with hole info at the red and white tees
-Signage and edged walking paths direct the player to the next tee location
-Course map on the kiosk (and DGCR page)
-Lockable Mach V baskets
-Leveled, Natural w/ gravel tee pads
-Some well defined fairways where you have to make the shot, some more open with options for different lines/approaches
-White and Red tees are open to beginners and still challenging for seasoned players
-Benches at some tees
-Elevation! This course actually has elevation and is put to good use
-Restrooms
-Running water (spring to fall)
-Good variety of distance, par, some fairways defined and some more open wooded holes
-Lots of parking
-Large, mature forest setting - holes feel private and don't interfere with one another, looping back to the parking lot
Cons: -First hole starts a few hundred feet down the trail into the woods
-At the time of review, there are some thorny brush spots off some fairways, but as a new course it's understandable
-Needs garbage cans around course, but didn't see any garbage on the course
-Some newly cleared fairways are still rough walking in spots, some brush piles need to be moved back/removed
-Hard to put 9 holes being a 'con' based on all the area courses are 9, but the space is large and I'm hopeful they complete a back nine for 18 holes because this is a fun 9 that ends leaving you wanting to play again
Other Thoughts: -Compared to any other course in the area, this one was a lot of fun and has a lot of uniqueness, and is very well done
-Some definite "I need to play that again" holes
-Feels like a good "destination" course worth a trip when you need to play those holes again!
-Playground, Horseshoe pits, baseball and softball fields also at the park
-I have met the local crew who takes care of this park (all volunteer, not paid) and they really care about this space and are very proud of the disc golf course, and they have a lot to be proud of!
