Pros: This course has great potential!
Most of the holes on this course have well developed fairways, cut through a moderate to heavily wooded area.
You won't need your high speed drivers here but it is a great place to work on control shots. Shots far off the fairways aren't punished too badly and despite the woods you likely won't have to search long for off-shots.
Five or six the fairways are in a field, however most of these are still interesting because of obstacles or designated out of bounds areas.
Course seemed to have a good balance of left and right turning fairways.
The course has a good flow to it and most holes tee pads are located near the preceding holes basket. There is good signage and "18" ends at the beginning.
Cons: This course does not have the amenities that the other pay-to-plays in the area have. No pro shop, no restrooms.
The tee pads could use some work, there are a few concrete but many are rubber mats and all seem a little on the small side.
The pay shed was not open when I played so I didn't get to see if there were discs to rent - there was an honor box for paying when the shed was closed.
This course is located on a fairgrounds as the name suggests and wasn't particularly scenic.
Other Thoughts: It seems like there is planned work on this course and I look forward to seeing the developments.
I will probably play other courses in the area more frequently because of their "destination" quality but I will definitely come back here despite the lack of amenities.
