Pros: A short technical course that requires a lot of thinking and strategy. The course plays in an opening in the woods and is compact, but the placement of the holes and tees bring many trees into play.
Cons: too close for comfort. busy. have to pay a dollar. not too many long drives.
Other Thoughts: Fun course for beginners and experts. Makes you use everything in your bag.

Pros: Easy Course. Not far from my home (apologies for irrelevance.) Wooded Area. Good practice for mid range and putt shots/aces.
Cons: So so so so so short. I started on the wrong hole and threw to the wrong tee which was about 100ft. I knew the course was short but i could not believe that. So some others started playing and i followed em'. Still ungodly short.
Friendly locals. Maybe there was a course map somewhere, maybe not, but I was very lost.

Other Thoughts: A group of park maintenance workers doing absolutely nothing making more money than I am were all just chillin' at hole 9 or 10 or something. Very distracting and awkward.

Pros: The course was designed by Ed Headrick in 1979 and has not been significantly altered since. It is a good time capsule of the original disc golf courses. It also has one of the best mix of hyzer-anhyzer shots of any course I've played. There have been recent efforts to use more aggressive landscaping to control the erosion problems that plague the property, and these upgrades have been a welcome addition.
Cons: It was designed for Midnight Flyers, so it has been obsolete since 1983! The holes are short and shorter. A lot of the trees that made up the challenge of the original course are gone. The course has a terrible erosion problem, so playing after rain is an adventure. The tees are too short to take a run-up on, but the holes are so short that it does not really matter. The course is usually packed with people, and the holes are really close together. You have to be ready to duck!
Other Thoughts: There sometimes is an attendant at the skate park who collects a $1.00 fee to play. When there is no attendant, the local skate punks will often pretend to be the attendant and try to scam you out of a buck.
At one point the parks department made the curious decision to put some plastic flower garden border-type rings around the baskets. Originally they were filled with mulch, but they were never dug into the ground. The ones that remain no longer contain mulch and just sort or sit around the basket, looking odd and trashy. They do make a nice disc stop for your upshot.
Like a lot of old courses, if you stick to throwing putters you can have a good time. Just don't expect a great challenge.
