Typical small college course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 25, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nine baskets with concrete tee pads and bright white 4x4's with hole # on it.

Couple of challenging holes:
#4 solid pine tree protection on this basket
#6 and #8 each had a HUGE tree in the first third of the fairway forcing you to throw around to get close to the basket. (tried going low on #8- didn't work!!)
#9 Short hole with light pole smack dab in middle of fairway, fairly close and yet another large tree
providing left side basket protection
(The other 5 holes were open shots)

Cons:

Didn't like the 4x4 positioned on that back corner of what were already short tee pads.

Other Thoughts:

Like most small colleges, they use what's available to put a course together. Not the worst course I've ever played, but as I climb toward #200 (this was #184) I have ended up with some real so-so ones!!

This is located way off of Hwy 70 (about 25 miles) and not worth the trip. If you attend school there, it will definitely help your short game!!

Well Manicured 2+ years drive by

Pros:

Nice tee pads, landscaped around both the pads and the baskets.
Tee signs seem accurate on distances (in yards).
Easily accessed and easily navigated.

Cons:

On some holes the basket is dangerously close to the the next tee pad.
The layout probably could have been manipulated to use the sparse amount of obstacles (trees, signs, electrical poles, etc...) more efficiently.
Tee signs are a little close to the tee pads for my liking but it isn't a deal breaker.

Other Thoughts:

This is a beginner friendly course. Seasoned players can get by with a Buzzz and a putter and play it in 15 minutes. It was a little soggy when I played it but it had rained for a couple days straight so that was to be expected. I'm not going to beat it up, but it is fairly clear that it wasn't designed by someone with lots of course design experience. Overall it is passable as a disc golf beginner course. There is a little walking path over nearer the entrance around a pond with a fountain that looks ideal for a 9-hole course. Maybe an expansion in the future could include that land.
There aren't any/many courses nearby, so if you're in the area for other things, feel free to go get some short game practice in to pass some time.
