Pros: good course with some techical uphill and down hill shots. lot of winding through trees and over marshes. overall a very fun course to go to.
Cons: no directions between holes and are pretty far apart for some of them. i got lucky and joined up wiht a guy who plays there regularly.
Other Thoughts: good course like the +600 hole but it is wide open so nothing to get in way.

Pros: Very nice setting. Beautiful walk in the woods. A lot of fun. Certainly worth the time. Loved the course. You don't need a super arm to play the course, but it requires accuracy. Because you have Red, White and Blue tees, the course can play very differently. You can play the reds for fun, the whites for a challenge and the blues for your pro challenge. Very nice. I love the variety. I wish my home course had these options.
Cons: Natural dirt teepads make any run-up difficult, the roots are showing and the tees are worn. Could use some attention. The directions to the next tee are not good. The first time I played through the course, I missed several holes because I couldn't find the tees. A friendly local helped me out.
Other Thoughts: It seems that there are some holes that are just set in the woods, without real fairways. It borders a tidal creek, so the view is great. Could use the elevation better. A little short and a lot of fun. I look forward to returning.
Update 04/09: The course is improving due to some clean-up work. Some small trees that obscured the line of flight on some holes have been cleared. It played much better.

Classic Tidewater Course 
Pros: Waterside setting, varied challenges
Other Thoughts: Bennett's Creek is a typical woods course but with a couple of interesting variations. The course plays around the edge of a small municipal park and boat ramp surrounded on two sides by a tidal estuary. While the water doesn't really come into play (except maybe during high tides), many of the baskets are set out on the fingers of land reaching out into the tidal marsh; thus, the views are nice and the room for error on your approach shots and putts is small. Throw too hard and you're going over the edge and into the drink.
A lot of this course is in tight woods, but the designers have done enough clearing to make all the fairways reasonable. The course mostly plays like the typical par 3 disc golf course, but requires the ability to throw 300 feet with control in some places. Only a couple of holes play in the open, and two holes require clearing a sizable chunk of tidal marsh that's probably under water at high tides. The elevation change is minimal but the course takes full advantage of the small hills there. Finally, with good signs, next tee indicators, and red, white, and blue tees on every hole, Bennett's Creek is easy to follow and easy to adapt to any player's skill level.
Control is the key skill for this course. Most of the holes are fairly straightforward, but the fairways are narrow and have little room for error. You do need to be able to throw controlled left and right fades and approach with good accuracy to score well out here. Among the growing array of Tidewater, Virginia courses, Bennett's Creek is the most representative of the area - beautiful forest and quiet tidal waterways. So bring your bug spray and enjoy!
