    [Innova] Mako3

You have an interesting decision point here - 1) pick a disc with a more reliable finish to make sure you end up where you want. b) practice controlling angles. If you want to throw it harder, add more hyzer. Learning touch with a neutral mid is one of the best skills you can have. My...

    [Innova] Mako3

The Mako3 is a great. Its the first disc I give to new players besides a putter. Its very easy to use well so you can have fun and gain confidence right away, but also shows you what your throw is doing. Its also Innova which is super accessible in case they catch the bug. I can get a ton of...

    [Westside] Prince- overstable distance driver

Lol, I like Catapults. They dont move right too much when turned, and dont fade a ton for being high speed stable. I think its the only Westside driver in my bag right now. I should have said - All Westside kid stamps are 3 for 2 and they printed pretty much everything, including Giants. You...

    [Westside] Prince- overstable distance driver

Ya, they also have the World 14/4/-0.5/3 and Catapult 13/3/-0.5/3. Sorcerers are flippy. I used to throw VIP Sorcs interchangeably with Champ Terns. I would say Terns had some stable runs. Sorcs didnt. They used to be stamped 13-6-0-2, which made sense if you knew Westside flight numbers...

[Innova] Dear Innova, the thing that will make you rich is:

Nice! get ready to rake in the cash Innova team. Where's my CG Luster? Ive seen them do it in D&D dice - I know it can be done.

    OverthrowJosh here. AMA

Watching Calvin throw 500 ft in the woods leads one to believe that the hammer should be a perfectly good drill, but what you're saying makes sense in theory. I would say that maintaining two forms causes habits from one approach to creep into the other, and keeping two consistent and distinct...

    [Innova] Innova Soft Pro Plastic

Cool. The megasoft Harp was the last straw for me and soft baseline plastic. I will wait for the next Toro run of XG Champ.

    [Innova] Innova Soft Pro Plastic

I have been ignoring Pro Soft so far but now there's a Toro. I remember taco-ing an R-Pro Dragon on a single tree hit back in the day, and this stuff is "3x softer than R-Pro"? Is it like an Elevation discs polymer that feels rubbery and so flexible that it doesnt really have any integrity to...

    [Millennium] OLF Mega Thread

If you want less stable and you want off the OLF train I'd suggest Falk, Saint or OLS. 1.7 SOLF might be your least stable actual OLFs. Sounds like 1.5 MOLF might be less stable than other M, but the older runs were pretty stable/os.

Is it Innova's reclamation of the DDX?

[Vibram] Best mail call from Yikun Discs 😎

Ya, that looks like a decent throwing putter but I am not familiar enough with Yikun to know which one it is. I'd buy that orange and purple one just to look at it. Bonus if it stays in the air when I throw it.

    OverthrowJosh here. AMA

I had to think about this a lot. If the distance is in my comfort zone, I drop my elbow (and it doesnt bother me) because I want a very controlled and straight pull through. When Im trying to throw at or near max, I deviate from my "control" form to more of a wide rail pull through, but I have...

    OverthrowJosh here. AMA

Hi Josh, I'm a big fan of your work and your approach. Tennis is the other wtf complex mechanical sport Ive played, and disc golf is like 200 years behind tennis in teaching and form analysis so I apprecitate you jumping over to help us out. I also really appreciate the logical...

So it all comes down to the 25-45' putts....

The upside to this technique is learning to maximize your form and iron out little hitches that dont show up when you only have to send the disc 15 feet. If you're still working on getting swing consistency its probably good to start there before moving out to 30-40-50. If you're really...

Westside VIP Ice Orbit Hatchet vs K1 Falk

I have a clear K1 Soft Falk that is considerably more stable than the TP Hatchets I threw 8 years ago. I wouldnt really have expected these to be comparable molds. IME Falk is like a Saint, and Hatchet was more like a Fury.

It may seem harsh, but when I see somebody reach for their Mamba I cringe a little

You might be right about total variation in Destroyers, but I dont think I ever saw the kind of inconsistency in a single run of them the way you did with Grooves, especially in reliable Champ plastic that the Grooves were molded in. I feel like you probably picked a questionable plastic /...

So it all comes down to the 25-45' putts....

Ya, good question. It really does all come down to 25-45 foot putts. I believe that's the biggest separator even at the pro level. They have arms, but Gannon and Calvin win because they have some of the highest C2 % in the game. No matter how well I'm throwing, my scores are lowest when my...

    April Fools 2024

Nice, but is this for April Fools or for Easter? Maybe Dave is just getting old and feels like its time to make amends with Disc Golf Jesus? Seems like these sold out very quickly, but I'd expect a restock in 3 days.
