Ever come across a wedding while playing?

The parc we have our course in also has a very photogenic spot at a lake and a restaurant in the middle of a rose garden. There are weddings almost every week and lots of photoshoots.

    DGPT - Resistance is futile

DGPT is another example of profit greed taking over a thing that used to be run by passionate people, for passion. The quality of the products is not really improving but suddenly you have to pay at every step of the chain. They shit on established traditions or the people that did all the...

What you think of Electric Scooters on DG courses?

    - most parks around here dont allow vehicles, not even bikes except maybe on one main traffic road trough the park - not allowed in tournament play - personally, when i see somebody on such a thing i think they re a) too lazy to ride a bike and b) too intoxicated to drive something that...

Par 5’s are good for the game.

A good course should have 6 par 3s, 6 par 4s and 6 par 5s. No i did not read any of the thread :D

Foot fault using thrown disc to mark lie

While we are bending the rules for casual rounds, let me put my disc 10 yards closer to the basket because i am uncomfortable putting this far... All rounds are played with the same rules. Casual rounds are a good place for beginners to learn the rules, and that guy clearly must be a beginner...

    How do you “lose” discs?

First disc i actually lost in a while. (as compared to retiring discs because they beat in too much, which i did quite a bit last year) 10 years old star Leopard. It was 10°C out, so nothing too crazy cold. Hit a tree and exploded. I made the 25 meters putt from the biggest piece though :D

    Disc Golf Valley

Multiplayer season 5 started a day ago. Water skip will definitely be in every pros bag once they got a good disc. Looks like a glide/waterskip Rive or Captain will be the way to go. There were 5 events over christmas and a waterskip event. There is also the weekly global league going on...

[Innova] is Innova's DX plastic, is it even worth it?

Yeah cause premium plastic Pures, Leopards, Origins and Shrykes are soooooo overstable :D

    [Latitude] Lat 64 Pure

Wait, how do you know what Pure i am talking about? ^^ Yes its a red-ish glimmery opto Pure :D I would recommend Opto for throwing and zero line plastic for putting. I use zero medium for putting.

    [Latitude] Lat 64 Pure

My Opto Pure got me the only two tournament eagles this year. An ace and an eagle on a 180 meters downhill par 4. I ve been putting and throwing the Pure since i started in 2009. Love this disc.

[Innova] is Innova's DX plastic, is it even worth it?

DX feels like a the plastic of a dog bowl. And after you hit two trees it flies like a dog bowl. I have all my discs in premium plastic. Also i am a big subscriber to the "out of the box" philosophy. If i need to beat in a disc to get it to fly as i want, i pick a different disc.

Understable midrange for nice little turnover shots?

I did retire a 10 year old Buzzz lately which was my go to for flippy midrange shots and had to look for a new disc for that slot since i want my discs to be the way i want them out of the box, not after X years of beating them in. I wanted a disc that throws something like a X/Y/-1/0 ESP...

I feel like overstable approach discs are a crutch

Wouldn't that be "better"? Playing for score is different from practicing new shot shapes and should be done at different times and with different tools. Of course the rreliably overstable approach disc will save you strokes and you would be a fool not to use it in tournament play or skins...

    Disc Golf Valley

Steam version does not have any ads. I dont know how you got it running on your PC but i get a feeling you did it wrong ;)

    Anyone find Discs Getting Expensive?

Thats what they want you to think, yes. Its all just more money for the shareholders. If it were any different, the companies would realise that their workers need more money and increase salaries. But they'd rather give the money to the shareholders.

    Disc Golf Valley

I do and yes i think it helps a lot. Me getting older and my sight getting worse and me refusing to get glasses might be a factor haha. Some of the more dedicated players have gathered millions of coins. They were pretty useless for a while. Sidenote: You can buy coins for money now. THAT...

    Ratings FPO vs MPO

I live in central europe and our ratings here are definitly inflated as well. When friends go to play in scandinavia or the states they really struggle to play their rating. I will read trough all those links later, thanks Brychanus.

    Ratings FPO vs MPO

Kristin being in reach of being the first woman to reach a 1000 rating got me thinking. As i understand it, the rating used to be an overall measurement of how well you play and it was the same for women and men. Both sexes played the same course from the same tees and got the same rating for...

Do you wash your discs? How often?

Summers here get quite dry and dusty. I dont mind too much on my premium plastic throwers. But my base plastic putters feel quite different with some dust on them, so i wash them the night before tournaments for that fresh sticky feel.
