A Quick Reminder...
The Beaver State Fling Amateur Lottery closes on March 26th at 11:59 pm. So if you have any interest at all in playing the premiere event in the Pacific Northwest, get you name in the hat! We will cull the duplicates, pull the names and inform the the lucky ones shortly...
Due to the tee time start (which will be posted to the PDGA site on Thursday night), we don't have a player's meeting for AMs. Feel free to check in on Thursday afternoon, or all day Friday. If you can't do that, just show up 15 minutes prior to your tee time, and get your players pack after...
I've had the same problem with several basket installs. The trick we came up with was to take one of the metal-wire landscaping flags and tap it down into the space between the top of the basket and the center pole where the wobble happens. Tap it down in there like a piston ring. If done...
We have over 550 names in the lottery, so I expect to spend tonight going through all of the entries and eliminating all of the duplicate entries. I should be able to publish the invite list at some point in the next few days. I will follow that up with the extensive wait list.
In regards to the 5 gallon water fire extinguishers that make an awesome tone poles. All you have to do is cut the bottom off and screw it to a pole using the hole at the top. I realize they are expensive new, BUT they also have to be pressure tested periodically, and any that fail must be...
My suggestion would be to stay away from discs with wide rims until you have a consistent throw. I would have suggested a Leopard for you, but you've mentioned it wasn't working out for you. If it is a heavy one (175ish) you might consider trying a lighter one for a bit. Also, many of the...
This teepad design is a pretty good compromise between temporary and safely useable tees. The pavers are not super expensive and when installed properly hold up to time and the weather pretty well.

^^^ This is so true. The feeling of being in the middle of the awards ceremony and seeing a few friends out collecting tee signs etc is simply PRICELESS.
Great interview!
My only suggestion... in addition to flashing the questions on the screen.... read them aloud as well. I can't be alone in trying to listen to the interview while doing other things.
In any case... good work as always. It was great having you guys up here at the Fling.
We have always wanted to improve how that particular green looked. At the same time, we felt stopping the roller right around the 25' mark on that hole would also step up the difficulty slightly. When a huge tree fell about 25' from that pin position we decided it was time to make the change...

A PDGA National Tour Elite Series event
Once again Stumptown Disc Golf is partnering with KEEN Footwear, Next Adventure and Innova Disc Golf to bring you the 2015 Beaver State Fling on the weekend of June 12th...
We were playing a tourney in a multi-use park and during the ground an inmate crew came in and started cleaning up trash. A girl on one of the cards threw her disc on one of the holes and watched one of the inmates walk over, stab her disc right thru the flight plate with one of those...
ToD,
As Discette mentioned you really should try Blue Lake... Yes, there is some long grass out there, but it was pretty well trampled down during worlds. Plus, the season is coming to an end so the grass is laying down anyway. It is a big course, with lots of OB, but it is fair and rewards...
That was truly heartbreaking to everyone involved with the course at McCormick Park. This act of vandalism was done by someone (we still don't know who) with no approval and no planning. Adding insult to the obvious injury, it was also done WHILE the actual tee signs were being made. So sad...
