Details: It's that time of year again!!! Grab your best costume and come on down to Expo for the 6th Annual OPXE. Bring yer friends, bring the kids... there will be plenty of fun for all.
As always, costumes are required and we'll be playing the course OPXE-style (backwards from each tee to the previous hole's basket).
PLEASE NOTE: Aurora Parks & Recreation strictly prohibits alcoholic beverages stronger than 3.2 beer in Exposition Park. If you choose to partake in adult beverages, please adhere to this simple rule.
Like last year, instead of registration fees and trophies, this will be a "grab bag" tournament. Here's how it works... Each player will need to bring 2 new or 'gently used' discs which they hand in at check-in.
All standard OPXE divisions will be offered (see below for guide). Everyone plays two rounds with a short lunch break in-between.
When all the scores are in, payout will be in drawings from the big grab bag full of donated discs. So the more people you beat in your division, the more drawings you get.
What better way to make the best use of that plastic that's been collecting dust! Players are encouraged to donate as many discs as they can. I'll be putting in a bunch of goodies from my own stash! All leftovers will be given out in a big ring of fire at the end!
Guide to Divisions
Apples: pros or experienced amateurs
Oranges: beginners to intermediate amateurs
Melons: all the ladies
Bananas: all kids (13 and under)
