Thompson Park closed down March 1st, 2011. Some of the baskets are still up, and the entrances have been chained shut.

They will be promoting Night Golf in a big way and have done so already, the lighting used is nice. They have solar lamps by the tee, as well as one on each basket. The lights come on automatically when it starts to get dark.

This is a privately owned park that currently has a small 9 hole course (plans are to expand to 18). Park is open to the public for play until 11:00 PM weeknights and 12:00 AM weekends. If you are camping there you can play all night! $2/per vehicle entrance fee. Amenities include a baseball diamond, food stand, putt-putt, camping, and cabins for rent.
