Local Directions: Take Route 460/29 and get off at the Liberty University exit. Take Candler's Mountain Rd. south for about 3.3 miles to a left on Camp Hydaway Rd. Camp entrance will be on the left in 0.9 miles. Park in the large lot by the wooden "Camp Hydaway" sign. (If you can drive down the hill a little and park closer to the pavillion that is even better.) Then walk down the hill toward the lake and past the pavilion. On the left side you will then see a basketball court and a zip line in a large open field. Walk below the zip line toward the pole at the far end, and then go into the woods on the trail behind the ropes course. Cross a small footbridge, then you will walk around a curve and the basket for hole 20 will be on your left. Continue walking past the creek and the tees for hole one will be on your right.
OR
Before you get to the camp, there is a small pull off at 550 Camp Hydaway Rd, and you can park there. Hop the gate and hike down the gravel road about 330 yards (~1000 ft) and you will run into the course. You will first pass basket #20; continue straight past the creek/bridge and the tee for hole #1 is on the right.
